Former #Jets DL Mo Wilkerson is leaving Green Bay after his #Packers visit and sources say he’s headed to visit the #Saints next. That’s an intriguing option for a rapidly improving D.

If we sign him, I'd assume this means no Okafor.
Wilkerson would be a good addition if he reverts back to his play of a couple years ago. Even if his sack numbers aren't great...he should be really good in run support. He might even slide inside on passing downs.
2013 (16 games) - 63 tackles, 10.5 sacks, 3 pbu's
2014 (13 games) - 56 tackles, 6 sacks, 5 pbu's
2015 (16 games) - 64 tackles, 12 sacks, 7 pbu's
2016 (15 games) - 58 tackles, 4.5 sacks, 3 pbu's
2017 (13 games) - 46 tackles, 3.5 sacks, 4 pbu's

I wonder if they're looking at him to mostly play inside, or they think that he can be effective at RDE in the 4-3.
And the front office has earned the benefit of the doubt, but I don't particularly like signing guys before FA even begins (ala Coleman). These guys don't have much competition to drive their costs down.

I'd assume he would play DE on running downs (we don't have a better option than him that's currently under contract). If he can't produce as a pass rusher at DE...we can try him out on the interior.

We be a great get, I'm sure teams will offer 1 year prove it deal. Guy was late to practices and suspended by team. Still hope we get him he can wreck havoc in the middle if mind is in right place.

Just like we used Okafor in preseason. End in base. Rushing inside in nickel. Hendrickson comes in at end.

He definitely has the size to do it. 6'4" 315
He would definitely help our interior pass rush, but Jordan/Rankins/Davison/Wilkerson would be pretty stacked against the run. At least we would have plenty of options.
Onyemata & Hendrickson could take a big step forward in 2018 as well. That would make things very interesting.

Don't think it's locker room stuff. He showed up late to team meetings 4 times over the last 3 years.
