and take my highest rated QB at #4. I don't think any of the QB's separated themselves enough to go #1. But Darnold, Rosen, and Allen could all be good picks at #4.

Thoughts?

If they get Baker and Barkley then they're going to run their division in a couple years.

Not really Saints related though.

Depends on how they feel about Kizer.

If they are not all in on Kizer they have to get qb at #1.

I don't think they can risk rb at 1 after they got burned by T. Richardson

I take Barkley at #1, trade down a couple spots and take either Calvin Ridley or Quenton Nelson. Sign Keenum, Bradford, or Teddy. Give Kizer another year or two to learn and see where that goes. Get two offensive studs to match the studs on defense they have. Bradford would be ideal for them. Nice mentor for Kizer.

Or, if they like Jackson or Mayfield that much, trade back into the 1st to get one of those guys in the backend of round 1. Would be a homerun, IMO.

I really wonder sometimes if people actually watched barkley's film. Yea he is a freak athlete, but disappeared at the end of a lot of games.

You're right. Our own coach said he's the best prospect he's seen coming out of college in the past 25 years, because he sucks.

The problem with taking a RB, especially with where the Browns are now as a franchise, is that RB shelf lives are short. Jeremy Hill was drafted in the same draft as Derek Carr and yet Hill is already seen as past his prime while Carr is a decade away from being seen as aging. Literally a decade away.

I don't think you can pass on a QB at #1 here.

But in my scenario they are getting a QB, with the 4th pick in the draft. I'd be comfortable with either Darnold, Allen, or Rosen at #4. If they pass on Barkley at #1 I don't think he makes it to #4.

They'll take him at 1 then trade him. Then they'll take Mayfield, Guide, and Chark!

Definitely. If the Browns have all 3 QBs rated evenly then you can approach draft this way. But anything outside of that, and they need to select their QB first.

When guys like Leveon Bell went in 2nd, David Johnson in 3rd, Kamara in 3rd, McCoy in 2nd, Hunt in 3rd, Ajayi in 5th, Freeman in 4th why the frick would you pick a RB 1st overall. I don't care who he is. Especially when you do not have a QB.

I think the problem with this line of thinking is that your scouts and coaches are going to like a specific guy. They're going to prefer one of these guys, have a vision for them. I don't see them really being like "I could take Darnold, Rosen, OR Allen and they'll all work!" .. the QB position just doesn't really work that way. And if that is the case, if you feel more strongly about one of the guys, then you're potentially missing out on your preference at the most important position in the game for a running back.

I’m all about taking Barkley or Chubb the DE first. These guys are considered the best two players in the draft. Draft one of them, and there is a very high chance Darnold is there at 4 anyway.

All this nonsense about having to take a qb first. Well, there are 3 qb’s that no one can separate. You have two of the top 4 picks. One of the other teams isn’t drafting a qb. And the other team has been linked to the guy that doesn’t even want to be drafted by you.

Well you would be a complete idiot ,but it is in line with something that Cleveland would do. It is not that hard they need a franchise QB so go ahead and take Darnold. How many times will they pass on a Wentz, Goff, or Watson to go for a stud in the draft with the first pick and try to get a QB later on. They need to go get a Franchise QB especially with this draft and build around him.

How do you rank Sam Darnold, Josh Allen, and Josh Rosen? What order would you put them in?
