Holy shite what an amazing game. Wasn't expecting it to be so good and just the overall world to be so interesting. Did they really shite the bed with Andromeda as much as everyone says or was that overblown? Also anyone got any recommendations for funnest class? Started with Adept but Vanguard looks awesome

Yes on Andromeda. It is still buggy and SJW-ie.
ME2 is good, but I hated how they made it more Gears of War and less ME1. Also, planet scanning is one of the absolute worst mini-game ideas in history.

If you're referrring to the shooting, that was so horrible in 1. Was glad they fixed that.

Mass Effect 2 is very high in my top games of all time list. Andromeda released in bad shape but it plays and looks fine for the most part now. The combat is imo and most others the best in the series. Where it falters is in the story and crafting.
I've never felt more connected and gotten more of a sense that this was my story than with Mass Effect 2. The ending I got and how it played out felt very unique to my play experience. I did not get that at all in Andromeda (or mass Effect 3 for that matter). The were hardly any new species to meet or many interesting missions that effected story arcs. It felt like a lot of filler. I did enjoy some of the exploration and the fun of the combat made playing through the main story line fun enough for a single playthrough. The crafting is a overly complicated. So I wouldn't pass on it altogether if you enjoy the Mass Effect series.

I felt like it was overblown. EA basically took the studio that made the Mass Effect multiplayer and asked them to design the entire game. I thought the end result was pretty decent.
It's a lot like the first game with the gunplay of 2 and 3. I liked it enough to establish a colony on every world.
It's a shame that EA has likely shelved the franchise for good.

Dude, they killed Mass Effect. They even decided to NOT launch announced story DLC for this game. Not overblown at all.

Pfft, the internet and meme culture killed Mass Effect not EA.

Do not listen to the haters. 3 is awesome too.
2 is a fantastic game. I loved 1 too. I was drained by the end of 1 & 2.
I played Andromeda for about 80 hours but it was more of a grind than fun. 1-3 had emotional impact. Andromeda not so much.
1-3 had hot chicks. Andromeda not so much.
1-3 you felt the pressure of the situation. Andromeda not so much.

I love all mass effect, except for Andromeda. It was merely passable.

How is this an excuse?
If they put together a team that was not capable that is on them.

It's not an excuse, but at the same time, I don't think an excuse is really necessary. What we got was a solid game that, while inferior to the original 3, was still fun and could have been a solid foundation for the future of the franchise.
It's not even as if the game flopped from a sales standpoint. Andromeda was still profitable for EA. There are other games out there who sold far less and were panned even harder that still churn out DLC.

One of the top 5 best games from that generation.

Didn't they fix 3's ending with a patch? Thought I read that somewhere

I’m jealous, I wish I could go back and start it for the first time.
