This guy I knew got 15 years on his fourth weed charge. One year on the third.

It's mind blowing how many posters seem to not only be okay with this but also more than happy to pay for it.

That's a damned shame. LA needs to legalize and do it in time to make money off the surrounding states.

Other than more driving under the influence, there’s no logical reason why legalizing MJ would increase crime. Do you think ending prohibition increased crime?

There's a very simple reason why crime would go up with legalisation of weed in Colorado: the influx of outsiders from states where its not legal.

Make it legal across the country and the crime stats would be about the same

I'm envisioning a bunch of white jackwagons rolling up to a street corner in scotlandville asking yo homie you got less than 13.9 grams of weed to sell?

Colorado stats. Black and white figures. All crime stats increased from 2015 thru 2017. Lib gubner stated “this was a mistake” re: legalization. BIG increase in traffic accidents and misdemeanor crime. AND more gang related crime.
It's morons like you who are oblivious to the differences between correlation and causation that compromise the fabric of our democratic process.

You honestly believe that legalized weed in Colorado somehow led to an increase in gang-related crime?

This is dumb. If you're going to do this just fricking legalize it.

Slow your roll and wait your turn, baw.

Oregon was the first state to decriminalize, that was 1973. It was legalized in 2015.

Looks like you have about 42 more years or more....

I remember paying those prices 20 years ago. 5 more years Louisiana folk will be down to 40 and I'll be paying that for a half ounce

EBR officially decriminalized marijuana today

No, they didn't. They lessened the penalty for very small amounts of marijuana. They will still fine you for it, they just won't kidnap and imprison you for possessing it, at least not for your first few violations, as long as it's not over a certain amount. This isn't the same as decriminalization but it's a huge step in the right direction so good for them. As usual, we are years and years behind other states with these measures.
