IF Abortion was to be made Illegal.
Just a straight up Trade. Guns are banned and the result is Abortion is banned also. Even trade.
Thoughts?

Stupid hypothetical, is my thought.

Nope, guns should be legal and abortion should be illegal

Neither of these things will ever happen. It just gets brought up to get people to the polls.

Not just no, but fricking hell no.
Posted on 2/15/18 at 2:50 pm to Jake_LaMotta
Why don't we use the guns on the murderers that made killing babies legal and call it even?
Posted on 2/15/18 at 2:51 pm to Jake_LaMotta
So after we make the deal and have no guns why don't they just make abortion legal again? What the hell will a disarmed populous do about it

Both have been around forever. Neither are going away, legality/illegality notwithstanding.
No deal.

Im willing to allow Democrats to try and pass an amendment if they dont like the 2nd. There is a path to do so.
If its such a big deal then why have they never tried even when they had the power to shove Obamacare down pur throats?
Because they know it could never pass the vote.

Who/what is going to be the motivation/strong arm to keep the trade off legit?
So they take the guns, then reinstate abortion.
Bad hypothetical

No. Thanks for making the stupidest thread of the day.

kind of ironic. Or funny. Not sure. Well, nope it's just sad. The group of kids most likely to be aborted are also the most dangerous when it comes to gun violence when they grow up.

No. I'm not willing to trade my constitutionally protected rights for any court case.

no. i'm not against abortion within a certain window...I still think it's grotesque and when done for convenience sake, murder...and not at all from a religious view. i'm not religious.
for starters there are so many guns in the country it wouldn't do a damn thing to ban guns. it would just be leading sheep to slaughter if you're, for instance, a convenience store clerk. most good people will follow the law, not 1 bad person is going to turn in their piece (especially given the probability it is stolen or purchased illegally)
secondly, I oppose on principle limiting my own freedoms in response to the actions of horrible people. Guns would fit that bill. it also creates a terrible precedent that's already been set, unfortunately, in trading in freedom for security.

No doubt the Cruz fetus should have been aborted. One "innocent" incomplete human could have saved 17.

Hell no. I'm not pro choice, I'm pro abortion. In fact, poors should get free abortion, and a blanket.
ETA:
And if poors reject the free abortion, those poors should be processed into food for other poors.
