When do you feel Orgeron will win a national or SEC championship? What's the latest you'll give him before you stop supporting him? Who do you support more, LSU or O?

DP is not allowed to answer.

You want to win a championship?? Well aren't you spoiled and entitled! Go cheer for Bama! Orgeron is going to be here for as long as he cares to. From time to time he'll probably do pretty good and we should all like it.

They’ll just say you’re not a true fan because you
A. Voice concern about the HC and general state of the program

B. Don’t blindly support someone who’s not qualified to coach this team

Yep. They either don't have an answer, or they're afraid of being ridiculed.

I'm not an O supporter but if he can at least get us consistently to no worse than 2nd in the SEC West while Saban is around and 10 regular season wins I think that would keep most people happy.

And if we can beat Saban one out of every 3 years and make it to the SECCG I think that would be great. Just not expecting it.

This year might be our best chance if Brennan shows out.

Your first 2 questions were legit. Your last question smells like arse. I don't think he will win a champ or win the sec, but I am not going to sit at a key board and bash the program in any kind of way.

Saban is Orgeron's, and everyone else's Bear Bryant. I was against Coach O's hiring but since he's here, he'll have my support. If he wins. ... I can stomach 9-4 next season then I expect more from then on. The 2019 class will, in my opinion, speak volumes on its own.

I'm neither an O supporter nor an O hater, I just want LSU to win. I wanted Herman or Fisher the year Miles didn't get fired. I was seriously disappointed that we whiffed on both and hired CEO. So I have reservations as to whether O is the coach who can do it, but it's not impossible. Here's what it boils down to - I am an LSU fan and I ALWAYS want the Tigers to win, I don't care who the coach is. What I won't do is hope the Tigers lose just to get rid of a coach I don't like. The coach will either win or provide the rope by which he will hang. I will just hope the Tigers win, it's all I can do. Coach O is the coach for 2018, so I hope he kicks arse. The alternative is too depressing.

The question for you O haters: would you seriously rather LSU lose so O will be fired or would you rather LSU win big even if it means O stays?

Okay. Now you have to be joking. If you aren't joking, you can shove your undying love for o up your arse.

Serious question. What year was the last year Miles won 10 games? I honestly don't remember. I remember his conference record wasn't good as of 2012 unless I'm mistaken.

Eta: There was the Mett year that was good though. Sorry, dealt with sobriety issues then and don't feel like looking it up.

I want LSU to win big no matter what. I just don't have much faith that Orgeron is what's best for LSU.

Yes?

See...the thing is...way back when I was younger...back in the early 80's when as a 12 year old I started really following the program, seeing LSU rise up the Top 20 chart in my weekly SI to may 15 or so was a HUGE thrill! It really was.

Thing is...we're just not that program any more. We're better than that. We are part of the elite and we ought to expect to play for championships at this point. EXPECT to win them or else? No...but if we're not REALLY in the hunt any more, than that means we've taken a huge step backwards from where we were just very recently.

Now...maybe that's fine for some...to go back to the heady days of occasionally making a really nice bowl and getting some solid press...while the elite of the sport play for it all. I'm sorry...I can;t willing go back there. If forced to then I'll accept it while trying to fight to get back to where we just were...but it's astounding how easily some are willing to just give up what's been so hard to earn.
