The question for you O haters: would you seriously rather LSU lose so O will be fired or would you rather LSU win big even if it means O stays?

This has been asked and answered 100 times.

I want LSU to win, and as much as I enjoy being right I want LSU to win MORE. I'd be happy for Orgeron to turn into a combination of Bear Bryant and Bill Belechick. We wanting something and it being realistic are two different things. I try not to let my wishful thinking get in the way of my rationality.

Problem is, every time it's answered people simply pretend they don't read it.

Idiot downvotes on that beautiful sarcasm

If so, then congrats on a perfectly executed post, because it reads like something Ree would have written.

That said, since it encapsulates much of what many here seem to think, I'll leave my rebuttal post as is...

I support LSU and whoever the head coach is at the time but I'm not rooting for the program to crash and burn. It will have to crash and burn for Orgeron to be fired. We'll have to have crap recruiting classes and seasons similar for the next two years for O to be fired. That's not what I want for LSU.

O was fine with me since we couldn't get Herman or Jimbo..... big name coaches and recruites do not want to come here for football. We gotta get over it and accept we are mid/lower SEC. Get behind our coach.

Big name coaches

Successful coaches at smaller school

Successful coordinators at P5 schools

Extremely successful coaches at the FCS level

Coach Orgeron

There's quite a huge gap between big name coaches and Coach O.

My point being that thete were a LOT of qualified coaches between the 2 big name coaches we didn't get and the unqualified coach we have.

Serious question. What year was the last year Miles won 10 games? I honestly don't remember. I remember his conference record wasn't good as of 2012 unless I'm mistaken.

First of all, I hold no I’ll will toward O for not deserving to get the job in the first place. People every day in every industry get jobs that could have gone to someone more qualified outside the org. So I support him because he seems to be doing what he is supposed to as a HC, regardless of his on field success.

As far as success goes, it cannot be understated how difficult this job would be for anyone because of how good Alabama is.

Having said that, he has put himself in a position that this year has to show results. We have to be in every single game like we were in the 2000’s. At first I said 3 years (with a 4 year contract), but now that he was impatient with the OC, I feel if this is ever going to work, there need to be very major signs this year that it’s going to happen.

I just wish everyone thought this way, so that we could be as supportive as possible in the stands and give the tigers the edge that we used to have. However it seems that people think that if they are constantly negative that things will somehow tune out positive.

It didn't crash and burn and Miles was still fired? What makes O so special that the program has to crash and burn in order for him to be fired?
