I've given him the benefit of the doubt as long as I can. Him saying that the plan was to save 2 scholarships reveals that there is a lack of an overall plan. Like I said in the other thread, when you add all of these elements together, it's concerning.

Jesus some of you are dumb. You realize he meant that if they didn't get Foster or Surtain, the plan was to not use the scholarships on anyone else today just to use them. They lost Goodrich Monday. They were informed on Surtain last night. Foster went to A&M. I don't like him as the coach as much as the next man but come on. Y'all think the plan was to not get these kids?

This is what he meant. The scholarships are much more valuable for immediate juco contributors or to be used next year for a loaded 2019 class

The point is:
1) You don't miss...
2) Or you have a Plan B and C if you miss on A
3) Therefore, you don't miss.
Of course you don't sign just anyone, but you don't put yourself in a position to not have options either. O is a poor strategist.

Coach O said he hoped to land Goodrich & Surtain. He had backup plans but couldn’t promise them anything because those spots were for the 2 mentioned above. He told the backup plans they could wait it out but he wasn’t leading them on.
He said they will now move on to looking to add graduate transfers. He didn’t say the plan was to sign 23.
Look it sucks we missed out on those guys but how else are you supposed to play this?
