So...Jesus=man...God the Father=man ...the Holy Ghost=woman?

That is the only possible way but still no. Not going there.

My daughter is in my image and I am a man and she is a girl.

These progressive gender issues are ruining the planet. Yeeesh. But it was only a matter of time until this gender issue became yet another way to pick at the patriarchy and Christian faith.
This is why you can't give an inch to this identity politics way of thinking.

Exactly. So the Lord's Prayer will Be"Thy person who art in heaven"??
It's crazy. They is so much definitive scripture in the Bible that leaves no interpretation. That the Holy Spirit is the Father, the Son, and The Holy Ghost.
If you can't get on board with that, you need to start your own religion and leave mine alone.

I agree. Y’all need to come back to Catholicism
No thanks. The problem is that the scriptures aren't held as the highest standard for Christian faith and life and therefore these heretics are changing "the faith" as they see fit. The Pope is trying to do the same thing.

Plus, Luther was trying to reform the Catholic church until he got kicked out.

I assume this board is made up of baptists, southern baptists, and Catholics.
Plus a chunk of atheists.

Not many Lutherans in the South.

Would be interesting to poll it.

Babylon Bee is the extremely rare "Christian" version of something that is actually pretty good

The divisions and categories of being a christian are stupid anyways. Theres no one "correct" way to follow God. My statement has nothing to do with your thread though.

Wrong. Jesus Himself practiced the Baptist faith after being baptized by John the Baptist

So the Episcopal Church is no longer going to refer to God as any gender

Why would God have a gender?

And any gender is welcome into the Priesthood.

Whats your problem with this?

I don’t know, maybe because the Bible explicitly states the opposite and some of us hold the Bible as the source of all doctrine.

I'm not one of the ones down voting you. But, I've been Baptist all of my life, and I've never heard a pastor claim the Baptist denomination are the only folks who can have a relationship with the Lord.

The Reformed community is definitely small compared to the likes of the Southern Baptists but Reformed folk include Lutherans (certain branches, at least), Reformed Baptists, Presbyterians, as well as some others.

The Bible speaks for God because it is the word of God. The Pope speaks for himself and claims its on behalf of God.

No thanks.

The more I think about this, more I think this is total bullshite. Really, Washington DC disasis making this decision to alter the Book of Common Prayer? They don’t have the authority and it’d have to be altered in Canterbury. Really no Bishops present for this? This has to be bullshite or some offshoot because they can’t do this.
