Have you ever done anything awkward at a funeral?

The other day I went to a funeral for my Buddys dad from High School. I shook his hand and told him that I was sorrry for his loss. Then I gave his sister a hug and said nice to see you(haven’t seen her in a few years). I obviously realized what I said and was pretty embarrassed. I didn’t try to say anything to make up for it I just went on my way.

Went in for a hug, got a handful of boob. Not bad, awkward, but nice turgid preggo boob.

I've said how's it going and what's up to the close family members of the deceased.

No I was just embarrassed because I said nice to see you to the daughter of the man who passed. I was pretty embarrassed about it. Maybe it was more awkward in my head than it was in reality....I hope

Yeah that is weird why do black people take pictures with their dead relatives? I mean if it helps them cope that is fine but there no way getting around how weird that is.

Showed up with a friend at the wake of someone neither of us knew so they could make a business deal (no not that) with the family.

I got drunk at my grandfather's wake. There were these fruity tasting sodas that were cheap, a 20 ounce was 39 cents (this was about 10 years ago). I had stopped at the liquor store and they had vodka minibottles for a quarter each, so I bought a lot of them and had them in the car. I stopped on the way to the funeral home and bought a few of the sodas and kept going outside to mix drinks to bring in while everyone was coming through.

6 years old at my grandmothers funeral, me, my sister, and several of our cousins around our age poked our grandma's face at the open casket viewing on dares to each other.

Yes, I'm ashamed of myself :(

"nice to see you" is bad? It's not like you said "welp, glad he's dead. never liked the guy." you're good.

A wake without liquor is called a visitation.
