I thought I saw that he had the flu. IDK, don't really care, but it is an odd story

For the life of me, I just don't understand this one. Butler was (emphasis on was b/c he's gone) the Pats best CB.

Imagine if the Saints decided to keep Lattimore on the bench in the SB.

Just saw this thread and if y’all can find the other one I commented in last night I was trying to find out from some of his family. Last night early it was like the whole family was being tight lipped. Well according to one of the family members. All they would say at that time was both sides weren’t happy. Not much more this morning but in the last week or so leading up to the super bowl, Butler felt as if he was being called out even after trying to help others.

One sequence leads to the next and you have some words exchanged between him and a coach. One of the sentences through out at a practice was “ you can step it up, or watch the game” obviously not sitting well with Butler. He feels as if he, even after that, put up the effort to appease them but was told before they come out on the field that he would be sitting out. He had 100 emotions going on. At half, there was rumblings that got to him about putting him out there, but by then it was a thanks but no thanks type of deal. He still doesn’t understand why, only belief is a coach showing, hey I run this blah blah.

I have no connections with anyone in the world besides only some of his family. I don’t claim to know it all. And wouldn’t type all this out on my phone if it wasn’t straight from a member of his family. But like I do with everything, TIFW, this could be just something they are trying to put out there.

**************UPDATE******************

Brandon Browner posted this today on twitter:

quote:

A locker room was divided pre game, most yds ever given in up in a SB game, and your best defender over the past 3 seasons. Doesn’t get a snap. You where hurt/burnt where he was needed tonight.. #foolishpride

And it was liked by Donte Hightower, leader of the Pats defense........

Yea I feel like there is some inside stuff we may never know. Besides what I was told. Would have loved to have been a fly on the wall.

He obviously ran his mouth to Belichick who, protected by 5 Super Bowl titles and obviously confident he didn't need him for this one, decided to send a message to everybody. Whoops.

It's the other thing that makes sense. It just feels personal so "late for curfew or team meeting" seems less likely.

Oh I can tell you, Butler puts his all into it. He hasn’t forgot where he came from and the opportunity he was given. He plays passionate. But I guess over some time, only takes so much from a big head coach or whoever it may be, to feel like what am I doing here and why am I trying so hard. I don’t agree with that cause it can obviously hurt the team, but can see it happen

Right. I can see Butler playing for another team next season.

Carolina, Dallas and other teams could use a capable experienced corner.

I would welcome him at Dallas.

He broke rules and paid the price. That's why there are rules. If you don't like it, don't cash your multimillion dollar checks.

Well, if true that certainly changes the narrative. Sounds like an entitled fool.

That tweet is the most ridiculous thing I have read

Misses flight

Shows up drunk after curfew

Shows up drunk after curfew again

Gets caught smoking weed

and then the toughest coach in the nfl lets him dress out and play still
