Only exolanation I can come up worth for the obvious social commentary in multiple commercials and the lack of commercials targeting the usual Super Bowl demographic is that the SB was carried by NBC, who is battling CNN for the SJW, gender disphobic and urban hyper-liberal viewership. Maybe explains why the Marines chose to go online only with their recruitment commercial (we want athletes, tough guys, guys who want a challenge rather than yuppie job training).
I have to wonder if the Marines made the choice not to advertise on the network, or if they were censored or rejected by NBC.
