"But speaking of stupid, something else occurred that few are mentioning, but may be of more significance than anything. What were these FISA judges thinking who allowed for the surveillance? They actually read the Steele dossier, one would assume. Were they imbeciles or as biased as McCabe, Strzok and the rest of that seedy FBI cabal? Whether they were told that document came from the Clinton campaign or not, it read like an outtake from the back pages of the National Enquirer — and not one of the good issues (John Edwards, etc.). The dossier was ludicrous on its face, yet the supposedly great legal minds of the FISA court accepted it as what appears to be the most important evidence for the case."

I'm sure the judge was just as much a hack as the rest.

It's literally like a porn director took a Tom Clancy novel and adapted it to a porn script.
That's the dossier.
That's the dossier.

Who cares who appointed them?

I don't think the dossier was entered in its entirety. They also provided media stories as supporting evidence....making it seem like they had separate legitimate sourcing.
Problem is those stories were planted by the same author. FBI knew about the planted stories in subsequent fisa renewals but never disclosed any of it to the courts.

I doubt the judges actually read the dossier.
The judges are under the impression the FBI agents will not intentionally lie and perjure themselves.

He was appointed on 19 May 2016 and was the judge who was assigned to Flynn's case...until he recused himself in Dec 2017.

Exactly! The federal judges on the FISA Court are:
Collyer - appointed to the DC bench by GWB
Boasberg - appointed to the DC bench by BHO
Contreras - appointed to the DC bench by BHO
Conway - appointed to the FL bench by GHWB
Dearie - appointed to the NY bench by RWR
Eagan - appointed to the OK bench by GWB
Jones - appointed to the VA bench by WJC
Kugler - appointed to the NJ bench by GWB
Mosman - appointed to the OR bench by GHWB
Russell - appointed to the KY bench by WJC
Saylor - appointed to the MA bench by GWB
6 of the 7 Rep-appointed judges were by two Never Trumpers. Neither espouse to true conservatism.

My understanding is that the FISA judges rotate "in" whenever there is a case or something to review.
They don't sit around like SCOTUS and review shite and form opinions together.
So, all it would take is one judge to review the FISA application and approve it. And for the renewals, just wait to submit when you know your judge is next up. Like what people do in every other court.
I'll see if I can find the source material about the one judge at a time, I read it the other day.
ETA: I really have no idea how FISA courts work. Maybe someone with knowledge outside of a fake news website could chime in.
It appears there are only 3 judges in DC.
Does this mean the DOJ/FBI were going to different districts each time to get the warrant/renewal?
If nothing else, Trump is forcing Americans to learn about all kinds of shite government/justice related that nobody every talks about in everyday life.

Oh, I'm sure it's one judge at a time reviewing the applications. You could be right about waiting for "their" judge.
This was basically in response to the person who said 4 federal judges appointed by Reps approved the applications. I was pointing out that judges were appointed by RINO presidents.
