Good for him but this GOAT phrase is getting out of hand. GOAT this, GOAT that. People so obsessed with GOAT. I mean how do we know if someone doesn’t win 25 grand slam title 500 years from now?

Henry Ford maybe GOAT during his time, but I rather drive a Toyota than a Ford any day.

I don’t think you realize how “GOAT” works...

I agree with some of the comments that goat is overused just like “broke the internet.” Articles about pasta don’t actually break the internet. The US broke the internet in North Korea once and Comcast breaks my internet about once every six months.

However, I thought Roger was done about 3 years ago. He’s played in an era of amazing players. He’s played longer than a normal human should be able to. Nadal has the head to head advantage but it is because he’s almost unbeatable on clay courts.

The goat term might be overused but if you were going to use it I think he’s probably distanced himself from everyone more than 95% of sports. I don’t think he’s got anyone in his tier.

* consolation medal to Nadal for the head to head advantage and without his body breaking down he was in his tier for a while, Just not for the 46 years the Roger has played.

Length of time on top is part of what makes someone tGOAT. To me, that’s what separates greatness from the rest is the select few that can stay elite longer than everyone else.

And he’s still dominating. It really is crazy.

Federer is the only person where the term, "goat" should be used. Reason, there is absolutely no argument. Other sports you will have an argument on who is "goat" for their sport. Tennis is owned by Rodger. Love watching that guy play.

Federer seems like such a likable guy. Easy to enjoy his successes.

With Tiger's woes over the past 5-10 years, I would feel pretty safe keeping that crown on Jack's head as well.

And of course Brady. But this place seems to be the only place in the sporting universe where the Brady=GOAT starts a huge fight.

His career seemed to be closing out around 2012.

I have no doubt his resurgence is PED related. At a minimum he’s at the cutting edge of stem cell therapy treatments or something similar to that.

Not enough French Opens to be the GOAT.

He's definitely the best tennis player probably of all time. Maybe an argument can be made for Rod Laver.

But he still has a losing record to Rafa
