Everyone knows what Starbucks bread and butter is and it's not the occasional French press they sell.
And you knew what I meant. Walmart sell them too, I guess Walmart customers are sophisticated.

I'd even bet the Keurig users were more likely to frequent chains than regular drip users. Keurigs offer convenience and quickness, much like chains.
You can buy a pretty convenient high end coffee machine, burr grinder, and much better coffee than you can get out of any K-Cup, and probably still come ahead money wise. Plus you'll have much better coffee.

Starbucks is littered with true pretentiousness. I have no doubt in my mind that many of these people go home to put pikes place in their French press. Hell, they probably pour it in a cup half full of of cinnamon simple syrup.

Ironic because their coffee is overprice garbage. There's a local place by my house that serves better stuff for $1-2 cheaper per cup.

And that's not good coffee
I'm a snob about it, but I make a good cup.

This happened to my roommates and I in a Keurig 2.0 with my Community ones. At first, it would put a few grinds and eventually it got worse. By the time we were through the pack, the kcups would explode in the Keurig.

Community Coffee K-cups have a defect
This has been an issue for many years. I stopped buying CC K cups because of it.

Had the same problem. Mitigated somewhat by taking the freshly used pod out immediately after use. Still had to use a paperclip to "unclog" the needle fairly frequently. Clogging stopped when I switched to Dunkin KCups. Actually liked the taste of the coffee better than the Community Breakfast Blend, anyway.
Wife gave me a Ninja coffeemaker for Christmas. Gave my Keurig away.
Good luck.

I had a Keurig at work for a while. I get the convenience factor..I just never thought any coffee I tried out of one was any good.

quote:That is why you get an aeropress, french press, or a moka pot. Plus the coffee those 3 makes will be better than that shite machine K-cups. It makes legit weak coffee. Do you even science your coffee?
Stupid is brewing two cups of coffee when all I need is one

I left the Keurig for the Ninja Coffee Bar. Pods were expensive and the coffee not as fully brewed as I prefer. Love the Mello Joy Between Roast in the Ninja, which has a single cup option, as well as the half or full carafe.

Nope, not one bit. All I want is a cup of coffee. If you have something that’s as easy as a Keurig, let me know. Coffee isn’t an obsession for me, just something I drink to wake up.

Just got one of these as a gift. Coffee is amazing vs the Mr. coffee we used before.

I’m having a K Cup of House blend ground-free. It’s awesome...

I find the community K cups, breakfast blend and medium roast particularly weak, even when I use the small cup setting

Got one of the high end keurig machines you described, to replace our old one. Only times I had the problem you had with grounds was:
1. I overfilled a fill it yourself basket and packed the grounds in it too tightly.
2. Used a Starbucks Hot Chocolate k cup.
We use Community k cups all the time with no problems.

I use 2 community things a day...not one grind in my cup ever.

quote:Yes it is easy and only takes 1 min to make once you got pre boiled water. No wonder why you aren't 'obsessed' with coffee as you have been drinking an inferior product. Drip and K-Cups just lack the flavor, plus the aeropress and the others aren't over priced. I'm sorry that you think people wanting a good tasting cup of coffee to be "obsessive"

Those k cups don't even taste anything like Community coffee. Might as well buy the cheapest you can find if you're going to use k cups.

Do many office locations have a stove to boil water on? In my experience that would be a no.
