Trumps lambs will forget what he promise. Personally, I think it is a good political move for him. bTW, I have zero respect for Trump, but his plan on this one is right.

Oh, I thought Schumer already out negotiated Trump last week in their big meeting>

This is more left wing horseshite hyping a negotiating ploy.

Those kook leftist motherfrickers are not going to agree to this soTrump can say it and look reasonable.

Not necessarily.

It could be Johnson's we will get those n!ggers voting for us for 100 years moment except for Latinos.

Latinos should be a more natural fit for Republicans than democrats anyway. Most of them a very hard working and they are religious.

That said it would be OK to do the deal as long as the WALL is built chain migration is ended and the visa lottery program is changed to merit based

Amnesty plus enforcement is good policy. The wall is political nonsense but i agree with Trump in principle here.

It's a good plan in your opinion? What are the specifics?

Don't know what I expected in this thread. If America makes it another 20 years, we will flourish after you fools die of some cause fit for a keyboard warrior. Now if Donnie would just give up on that dumb arse wall and negotiate for something worth a damn...

You won't last long on PT coming in with an attitude like that.

As a Trump supporter, I would be glad to have a civil dialogue with you about President Trump if you came in here as a newbie being courteously respectful of others to begin with.

However, if you want to insult the Trump supporters here right from the start then go back to DU where you belong.

Native born Americans won't do the jobs they do. They just won't (it's a fact).

This is an old and patently false narrative and it drags the American worker's name through the mud.

Center for Immigration Studies

quote:

This analysis tests the often-made argument that immigrants do only jobs Americans don't want. If the argument is correct, there should be occupations comprised entirely or almost entirely of immigrants (legal and illegal). But Census Bureau data collected from 2009 to 2011, which allows for detailed analysis of all 472 separate occupations, shows that there were only a handful of majority-immigrant occupations. Thus, there really are no jobs that Americans won't do. Further, we estimated the share of occupations that are comprised of illegal immigrants, and found that there are no occupations in which the majority of workers are illegally in the country.

quote:

Of the 472 civilian occupations, only six are majority immigrant (legal and illegal). These six occupations account for 1 percent of the total U.S. workforce. Moreover, native-born Americans still comprise 46 percent of workers even in these occupations.

quote:

Many jobs often thought to be overwhelmingly immigrant (legal and illegal) are in fact majority native-born:

quote:

Maids and housekeepers: 51 percent native-born

Taxi drivers and chauffeurs: 58 percent native-born

Butchers and meat processors: 63 percent native-born

Grounds maintenance workers: 64 percent native-born

Construction laborers: 66 percent native-born

Porters, bellhops, and concierges: 72 percent native-born

Janitors: 73 percent native-born

quote:

There are 67 occupations in which 25 percent or more of workers are immigrants (legal and illegal). In these high-immigrant occupations, there are still 16.5 million natives — accounting for one out of eight natives in the labor force.

quote:

High-immigrant occupations (25 percent or more immigrant) are primarily, but not exclusively, lower-wage jobs that require relatively little formal education.

quote:

In high-immigrant occupations, 59 percent of the natives have no education beyond high school, compared to 31 percent of the rest of the labor force.

Shove that argument up your arse.

Americans won’t work those jobs because they don’t pay shite. Rest assured, if shoveling shite paid $90,000 a year, Americans would be shoveling shite.

Citizenship is a non-starter. At best they can stay here if they don't engage in any further criminal activity. Trump's supporters will not support this.

In the 2016 presidential popular vote, Hillary stupid crooked commie lying pos Clinton, beat Trump by 2,864,974. 2.8 million. So...do we really want to add 1.8 million potential democratic voters At any time in the future. No. I think this is trap set by Trump. I will be entirely pissed if this is accepted and agreed upon. F that.

As a legal immigrant who has a green card but not a citizen yet, I hate this. We had to wait 15-20 years to become citizens WHILE also paying income taxes through all those years AND shelling out thousands of dollars for visas and work permits. We followed all the rules but these rule breakers are allowed to get a pass?

frick this!

Eta! I know the popular vote is isn't the decider. But I do know the democrats would do anything to get rid of electoral votes. I really hate politics.

So Trump isn't a complete jerk after all. Whatever, it won't affect my vote. I'm still going straight ticket in 2018, and it won't be for the Trump party.
