If Sampson leaves we will most likely sign Duop Reath 2.0. Also Days can bang and also has a beautiful shot

or dare I say even 2012?

I’m going to love this team next year and it’ll be really fun to watch that kind of talent here.. but no one on that team is or will be even close to the talent of Anthony Davis

It’s going to be an awesome thing to see. Waters and Smart in the backcourt paired with Naz and Williams up front alone will be shocking to fans that never saw the Shaq and CJ roster. Then you throw in the veteran depth and other freshman he’ll sign along with a coach like Wade leading this group and you may have the most dangerous team in LSU history.

Imagine what a great young coach in football could do.

Oh, wait. .

But, yes, you are correct. I remember those years and although this team won't be as talented as that one back then it will have the opportunity to go further in the tournament as that one underachieved mightily.

Right that roster was the most talented we ever had but with Daddy Dale at the controls we had some major problems. This roster is shaping up to be number 2 top to bottom and with Wade pulling the strings this team can go as far as any we’ve ever had if not farther. When you consider that our bench will be made up of upperclassmen who’ve all started before we will be as tough a team as ever seen here.

Sims to me looks super lazy just going through the motions, maybe it's just me that sees it this way?

Wasn’t talking about the starters was talking about not having guard depth

I’m old enough to remember 1990.

Tell me about how awesome the starting lineup is after the second round of the tournament is over.

Emmitt Williams is not an LSU signee.

You have to wonder if he is worth the risk. One incident and it blows up in LSU's face.

Mays ain’t starting over Javonte bruh. frick that.

You say that, but Wade likes Mays's consistency. Plus, he would be a 3 year starter come next season. That's not to say Smart wouldn't play A LOT, because he will, but coaches like guys they can trust and Mays seems to be one of those guys. It's certainly possible. But I don't think it's a lock that Smart starts over Mays (at least initially)

Wade will have some interesting options though at guard. Waters is the best shooter of the bunch. Do you move him to the off-guard spot at time and let Smart handle the ball in an effort to try to free Waters up for open 3's? However, Waters is probably your best floor general as well. If I were Wade it would be hard to take the ball out of his hands.

Also, it's hard to see Williams playing the 3 very often in a line up with no shooters. If anything, I think Days is going to be a very big swingman for next year's team. He could probably give you good minutes at 3 different spots (2-3-4) and allow Wade to mix and match his line up accordingly.

The bigger question for all the Freshman is will they defend? LSU hasn't had much trouble on offense this year. It's the defense that has to VASTLY improve if they want to be serious national player next season.

I think people are mistakenly trying to put the "best" players in these lineups, with no regard for positions. I don't see Williams or Days as a 3 at all.

Unless some high level wing is signed, I see LSU running a 3-guard lineup, with Bigby-Williams and Reid starting.
