* Well, I'm just seeing where this is +10 days old news and the link button won't work for me, but at least I have pics.

Off the bat, I am going to buy two. I have not been this pumped since they announced the p938 which this will replace in my CCP rotation.

I am so mf excited about this pistol.

Anybody shot one of these? Looks like a nice pistol with a really nice price. As someone else said, looks like a long trigger pull. Trigger is rated at 5 lbs, which is good. I've been considering a p224, but may give this one a test drive.

Nice looking pistol. They have a 13 round extended mag too. Is there a price point on it yet?

For folks commenting on the trigger - most Classic Sig triggers are long like that, although some you can get a SRT and on some DAOs it's a bit shorter, but not a big problem.

Anyway, for my money, Sig does those sorts of triggers better than anyone. It's not rifle crisp (it's a pistol) - it's not short, short, like a 1911 or even a Glock.

But, it isn't mushy, it isn't tentative - it's smooth - like a good revolver trigger. Of course, the Classic Sigs have your subsequent shots at SA (which is polarizing - some cats like the same pull every single time, but I came up with the Sig triggers and I shoot Sigs the best because of the ergonomics and my time with those triggers).

I still think I'm getting a P239, but I may give this one a look.

I am cautiously optimistic about this...but I am not getting one for defensive carry until the magazine design is proven. I hope it works flawlessly, but the double stack to single stack gives me pause and wonders if there will be FTF issues.

Either way this should reignite the competitive race for carry 9s and I like that. I also have to hand it to SIG, for a company that was teetering on the brink of failure a little over a decade ago it has certainly come roaring back.

Nice clickbait title.

But I agree with 10MTN that when companies think outside the box we get a flood of new options. The same thing happened with the shield - at first Kahr was the only single stack game in town until S&W blew up the single stack 9 craze. Maybe we’ll start seeing more exciting options from other manufacturers.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder I guess. I honestly don't see anything that wrong with it. Not that a gun has to be pretty as long as it does what it's supposed to do anyway.
