You may not have much for brains, but your sack must be huge to come on here and say all that.
Have a great day!

Certainly this doesn't outweigh an inability to perform the job, right? Certainly you agree, no?

They will do the very best they can for this team because they are fully invested, mind, body, and soul
The best they can isn't necessarily good enough, right? Certainly, you agree with that, no?

You can tell this is huge for him
Some would say it's too big for him.

He did a bang up job in 2016 when he had to take over a broken mess, with no time to prepare and someone else's playbook
He never was able to get the passing game going. We've always had a running game.

Give this hire a chance. Let it play out before you bash the man
I'm going to give my opinion on the hire itself based on what I know right now. It was a bad, bad hire. We hired a guy for a critical position (some might say it's the key to turning the program around) that nobody else in our peer group would hire.

It obviously hasn't hurt recruiting
This is speculation given that the early signing class happened before this move.

There are very few Offensive Coordinators out there that I would take over Ensminger right now.

So do I.
Another thing we have in common is that I am also staggeringly unqualified to coach football for LSU.

With all due respect, Mr. Hound, aren’t you the one who is technically doing the blowing?

Then why did O go to Tennessee in 2009 when he had an offer for the same position here at LSU?

Almost every poster on this thread would be "fiery" and "passionate" if they were hired as LSU's OC - but that doesn't make them qualified or a great candidate.

You don't hand over a multi-million dollar business to a guy just because he says that he loves that business. You hand it over to a proven guy who does his job extremely well and has the resume to prove it.

Ensminger doesn't have a bad resume', and he did a great job in this exact position in 2016.

Blah, Blah ,Blah ..E has a proven record at LSU..nobody you want does...

This is the real world. Just because you’re passionate about your job doesn’t mean you’re good at it. The fact that you or anyone else supports this hire when everything points to this being nothing more than O hiring someone who will let him meddle in the offense is retarded. I hope he succeeds because I am a LSU fan through and through, but suggesting I be okay with this just because the coaches are going to try their best? Why don’t you get some perspective and GFY

Not a qualification for proof of skill set.

I love the passion that Coach Ensminger had when speaking in front of the media today. You can tell this is huge for him, a dream job, wants to make the best of this opportunity, and doesn't want to let this team down.
Not a qualification for proof of skill set.

People have been saying this since O was hired. Why do we have to "give it a chance," I still don't see that. They don't have the qualifications or skill set to do this at a high level, and there's actual proof of that.

Passion for a job he said he did not want last year, right? Thank you D.P.
