Bluejays are common around here. We have one my kids knew well enough, they named him Frank. I have Frank's blue tail feathers for memory since his demise.

We have blue bears locally. They're a variety of black bear called a Glacier bear. Thought to be an adaptation to the local glaciers. They can be blue, gray or whitish blue or gray. LINK
