Solomon Hill shooting in the arena today

Short clip from BSS photog/videographer Andrew Smith

Different injuries of course, but I believe when we started seeing Asik in the background at shoot arounds he was 2-3 weeks away from returning. MM tweeted out a few days ago that they plan to play him some before the ASB and hope he's ready to be unrestricted after the ASB.

Solo from 3. Also, as soon as I moved the camera Diallo threw down a sick dunk

I like the idea of a lineup of
Jrue
Moore
Miller
Hill
Davis
Not starting but that lineup has a good balance of shooting (Moore/Miller) and defense (Jrue, Hill, Davis)

He was in the pre-game shootaround at the end of December as well. I thnk it was the Knicks game I saw him shooting. A good sign indeed.

You are correct. I was there and yes he was.

He has been working out with the Pels S&C Coaches so he can not be too far off from playing. Hopefully we can get him around Feb.

I thought I was going crazy when I saw him at the Knicks game

He was doing more than just shooting Knicks pregame. He was also defending and looked good sliding. I asked him when he was coming back and he said it won’t be long.

Talked to an exec last week. He said that the plan was to get Hill some minutes before the AS break. Have him on some minute and back to back restrictions. Then, the hope is that the restrictions are off post AS break and he is starting and getting 25-30.
If that happens, guard becomes the priority on the trade market IMO. Nelson, Clark, Allen -- I don't want any of them in the regular rotation if possible.

Because they said he was ahead of schedule and we can’t have nice things.

Solomon Hill (hamstring) is back at the #Pelicans facility after being away the week prior to the All Star Game.

Alvin Gentry said Solomon Hill would undergo some tests this week that will likely determine his timeline. He added Solo is working extremely hard to get back.
This is a little strange in that this test to see if he's ready is happening after his previously rumored return. I wonder if he didn't pass a test previously that they were expecting him to pass. Although taking an "extra" few weeks to heal isn't that out of line for an injury with a pretty wide range in healing time of 4-6 months. Now that they've announced he's having a test we will probably find out whether he passes or not.

This is what we need to remember the most, but goddammit we are running out of time.

Gentry putting it out there that he will be tested this week at least gives us some clarity. If we don't hear good news by Monday or Tuesday, then it will be time to go to our dark place.

Yeah, the hope is that he is playing by the Dallas game. He will be restricted but if he plays the first two weeks or so without issue, he would be taken off restriction.
We will know soon enough

I would be shocked if Lemon "took the court" but yes, I would be semi excited about Hill.
This offense can be fine even without Cousins. Adding Hill could make this a league average D and that would be enough to make the playoffs IMO. Could also give you a guy who slows Butler and/or Wiggins, which would make them competitive against Minny
