New to the area so I only know the big touristy spots to go like Superior Seafood and a few places downtown or in the quarter. What's the board say?

Boiled crawfish is more a backyard thing than a restaurant choice.

I'm aware. I just wanted to know where I can go if I didn't want to have to go to an entire event or boil an entire sack myself.

If I wasn't going to boil them myself, I would go to either Harbor Seafood and Oyster Bar in Kenner or Salvos in Belle Chasse.

The only 3 places I go to get boiled crawfish to take home are...
1) Schaefer’s in Bucktown
2) Zimmer’s in Gentilly
3) Bevi in Mid-City
All 3 are very good. Call all 3 for price per pound, and go get them at the cheapest one. I do this after work just about every Friday during Lent.

You won’t find much better than salvos. Although zydecos is pretty good too.

Boiled crawfish isn’t really a New Orleans thing. Head to Lafayette area and get some sprinkled ones

It may be a little out of your way,but Seither’s Seafood in Harahan is really good. Right amount of spice and flavor. Love all of his stuff but it’s hard to pass up boiled crawfish when he has them.
