I know there is a difference in pay for private versus public school teachers, but is there any viable information for what private school teachers make in Baton Rouge?

$12/hr if you consider they have to work 3 extra hrs a day to grade quizes and lesson plan.

Plus time out of their schedule spent communicating with parents that have pos children that misbehave in class.

Public schools: 40-45k and probably get stabbed.

Private schools: 100$ a month with a selling point of “at least you probably won’t get stabbed”

Depends on the school, the grade level, the subject, and the number of classes.

A high school math teacher with a masters teaching 5 classes can make north of $43,000. Add in an additional class and you are pushing $50,000.

I think most high school teachers are sitting around $40,000 but I could be way he frick off

Typically, private school teachers make 50-65% of what public school teachers make. Obviously, there are some exceptions to the rule.

I know of 1 school in my area where the priest makes more than the newer teachers.

Probably not from the schools, but you never know. I know that CHS has really upped their pay to where they are pretty much at parity with the area publics in terms of salary. Benefits are another story, but the trade is better students, more involved parents, and a better environment (unless you are at a magnet).
