Thermal underwear for extreme cold

I need a new set. I 'm good with my current pair down to low 30's. I'd like to find some that will allow for colder temps. Sitting still in the stand I tend to get cold easily.

Patagonia's thermal weight Capilene is the best base layer I've tried.

I travel to Antarctica for work on occasion. I use Under Armour Coldgear and XPS base layers. Also, anything with Merino wool is a guaranteed win. They actually recommend we get merino wool gear before we head down there.

Academy has those level 1/2/3 thermals on sale for 50% off right now. Pickins are slim but they still had a few sizes of the level 3 yesterday when I went. I tested them out last night in 40 degrees with just a tshirt over top and they are pretty legit.

If you want to spend some cash get the merino wool stuff. UnderArmor cold gear is legit on a budget.

Lots of good suggestions
Mine is the army's ECWCS system. Base layer is the mid weight grid fleece, though I have used their polypropylene stuff too. The polypro stuff is dirt cheap- the grid fleece can be pricey ( like 45 bucks) but not if you're patient and looking on ebay or the surplus stores at the right time of year.
It was 11 below zero this morning where I am today and I worked outside all day on a truck and cutting wood with the grid fleece bottom, polypro base, grid fleece over that, coveralls, polypro and wool socks, hat and bunny boots
Do not use anything with cotton in it

If you’re willing to spend to money, under armour is one of the best imo. I have the 4.0 from when I worked in North Dakota. 2.0 or 3.0s will be more than sufficient for down here.

I use the redhead ECWCS military grade fro. Bass pro shops. Stick a toe warmer to each of my socks and I can wade in ice water for hours without getting cold.

I have UA 2.0 and 3.0 cold gear. They key is to NOT have cotton as a base layers.

You should just do the wim hof method. Then you won't be cold. Probably cheaper than your underwear
