I've always hoped for the best with O, and Alleva I guess. This debacle has really hit a nerve with me though. There are endless examples of coaches putting their personal differences aside and working together for the betterment of the team. It can be done.
I'm upset that Orgeron doesn't understand this, and I'm even more upset that Alleva is letting it happen. I just pray that Orgeron has an even better offensive mind lined up to take over. If you make a lateral move at OC, or god forbid you downgrade, that's a huge blunder.

Why are we just bashing one coach when we should be bashing both of them and also our AD for letting this happen in the first place. All of LSU family should be embarrassed by our coaches acting like children.

Alleva has made so many stupid mistakes: Miles fiasco 2015, Duke situation, his handling of the Florida game 2016. The guy is a national joke. Its more accurate to say he could luck into a better hire, but he isn’t getting any better.

Yeah I’ve seen enough. O isn’t smart enough to know how to manage someone who disagrees with him. I have to do it in my line of work all the time. He is going to fail.

Only one of these coaches is actually charged with managing the football program. Only one is talking about a coordinator moving on to another school. and while I cannot prove it, I am certain that only one of the two is leaking information to the press public designed to undermine the OC.
Plus, we can fire Canada and hire someone equally talented, but this will not address the lack of management skills, lack of maturity and judgment of the HC. Those issues pose the bigger danger to LSU football than the selection of an OC.

Hanagriff made an astute observation after the Troy loss when callers were out for blood. He didn't comment directly on Alleva's job security if Orgeron tanks. All he said was in the history of LSU, ADs have only gotten one football HC hire.
Leads me to believe Alleva and O's futures at LSU are linked.

WTF are you talking about? It appears that Coach O wants to upgrade his under-performing and ill tempered/insubordinate OC of which there is a reason that he has had 4 jobs in 4 years. This is normal stuff in coaching, and you are demonstrating your ignorance of the sport and ins and outs of annual coaching changes. O admitted to meddling in the offense leading up to the Troy game. Do you really think that was the first time he did it? Would you be ok with being hired to do a job and then being micromanaged? Particularly by someone who's "expertise" ly on the other side of the ball? It'd be like a CFO trying to tell an engineer how to design something. O should have stayed in his lane in the first place and he likely never would've been in this situation in the first place. Also, it's well documented that O is a bit of a douche bag also.
This all falls squarely on his shoulders.

Really nothing to be embarrassed about, this looks just like 2015 with Miles. This could have been handle so much better behind closed doors. None of this should be in the papers.
