I read the piece on Politico this morning, Part I. It is absolutely jaw dropping. If only half of it is true Obama and everyone involved should be jailed.

I am going to try and be diplomatic and the best thing i can say is that I assume Obama was trying to cut a comprehensive deal with Iran and get them to reign in their attack dog Hezbollah.

Cause msm still kisses Obama's arse. Most of them refuse to talk about anything that may shine a negative light on him.

John Brennan has the balls to call out Trump. What a low life sack of monkey shite he is. That motherfricker needs to be behind bars.

Has anyone read the Politico article?

Politico Hezbollah Article

It is a really long read but very well researched and sourced!

Why isn’t it gaining traction?

Because it paints a negative light on His Holiness.

Reading it right now. Wow. Makes Iran-Contra look like chump change. Props to President Obama. He learned the Chicago Way well.

That was an incredible read. And of course, our Progressive media is focused on the possibility of Russian collusion during the election. Unbelievable.

I want one the the resident snowflakes to read it and try to spin it into a positive for the previous administration.

The fact we could have shut down the finances of the upgrades EIDs used against our servicemen/women and didn’t is fricking crimimnal!

I like the Politico response in that article:

quote:

Josh Meyer’s groundbreaking investigation was rigorously reported, deeply sourced, thoroughly vetted and is of significant public interest given the national security implications. POLITICO is proud of this story and believe it captures the complexity of the decision making by the Obama administration in pursuit of a deal with Iran that it viewed as a major foreign policy achievement. It’s hardly surprising that Obama loyalists have pushed back on the overall thrust of the article.

In his months of reporting the piece, Josh conducted an exhaustive review of government documents and court records and spoke with dozens of key participants at all levels of government. It’s worth noting that the principals mentioned in the piece were given the opportunity to comment and when they declined, POLITICO interviewed numerous sources who could speak on their behalf.

Also, Josh responded himself on television [Tuesday], specifically responding to the false claim that the article is based on uncorroborated complaints from disgruntled low-level officials. “I also talked to many, many dozens of other people to get a sort of ground truth and see what their allegations were when held up to the light of day. So this is not a story in 14,000 words where I was just taking spin from some people,” he said.

Yeah, 14k is a lot of words. I just now got finished reading that Politico article (" The secret backstory of how Obama let Hezbollah off the hook") from Monday.

It's absurd that anyone would believe these despicable weasels from the Obama Administration who defended Obama's foreign policy accommodations during his time in office.

As Erik Wemple writes in that Washington Post article from Thursday:

quote:

The story is deeply reported and contains valuable insight into how a modern-day crime-and-terror group operates; the Hezbollah used-car business is fascinating, for example. Yet the piece lacks a smoking gun, relying instead on the statements and suspicions of Project Cassandra officials, culminating in assertions like this one: “The administration’s eagerness for an Iran deal was broadcast through so many channels, task force members say, that political appointees and career officials at key agencies like Justice, State and the National Security Council felt unspoken pressure to view the task force’s efforts with skepticism,” reads the story.

So all the story is lacking is a "smoking gun", but we've already seen from the fiasco with Lois Lerner and the IRS how the Obama White House orchestrated these kinds of actions with dog whistles and such. It's truly despicable.

Now swap out “Trump” for “Obama” and “Russia” for “Iran” and imagine the eruption these revelations would generate.

Uh huh. The only people who would erupt are neocons, because we're always the only ones who really care about this stuff. We screamed to high heavens when this stuff was happening under Obama, and we're sounding alarm bells now under Trump as well; because these are two of the most anti-American foreign policy Presidents in the history of the country.

Again from the Politico article...

quote:

Progress has been made on other investigations and prosecutions, current and former officials said. But after an initial flurry of interest in resurrecting Project Cassandra, the Trump administration has been silent on the matter. In all of the Trump administration’s public condemnations of Hezbollah and Iran, the subject of drug trafficking hasn’t come up.

In West Africa, satellite imagery has documented that the Hezbollah used-car money-laundering operation is bigger than ever, Asher told lawmakers in recent testimony before the House Foreign Affairs Committee.

And Hezbollah continues to scout potential U.S. targets for attack if it decides Washington has crossed some red line against it or Iran. On June 1, federal authorities arrested two alleged Hezbollah operatives who were conducting “pre-operational surveillance” on possible targets for attack, including the FBI headquarters in New York and the U.S. and Israeli embassies in Panama.

“They are a global threat, particularly if the Trump relationships turn sour” with Iran, Syria and Russia, said Magnus Ranstorp, one of the world’s foremost Hezbollah experts.

How hard of a stance do you suppose President Trump is ever really going to take against Putin's buddies in Hezbollah and Iran? He might do some short-term theatrics, but it will likely always lack follow-through and substance, because Trump knows that Putin has kompromat on him.

And nobody who ever supported loons like Rand Paul or Pat Buchanan has any room to criticize the Obama Administration on this. These international drug-terrorist crime organizations spanning rogue states like Russia, Syria, Iran, Venezuela, Cuba, & North Korea are exactly what happens when you adopt the kind of pacifist anti-American rhetoric that the alt-right has consistently endorsed.

So, when news is broken about the Obama administration allowing a terrorist organization traffic drugs in to the US, your response is Trump's fault, Putin, and alt-right. You're a loser.

So explain something for me then......if Trump is so buried in Putin’s pocket, why did he flip Barry’s “no lethal military aid” for Ukraine. I mean javelins are an awful powerful “frick You” to Russia if you ask me.

MSM silence on this, is akin to Meuller ignoring HRC's overt criminality re real Russian collusion via Uranium 1. Of the which HE complicit.

Both the MSM and Meuller daily dig themselves into a deeper hole by towing the half truth line.
