It's horrible but nearly impossible for me to have sympathy for people who inflicted that shite upon themselves.

My Venezuelan friend said that people with skills and opportunity to leave have been leaving the country for the last 5 or 6 years.
So the people left there now are not only screwed by their govt but they have been abandoned by the only segment of the population that knew what the hell they were doing.
OTOH, those left there are the ones who voted in Chavez. So, they got what they wanted.

Tragic. The whole irony of this is, these poor people are the ones who voted for Chavez and are now suffering the most because of it.
I bet they're regretting those votes now.
