Maybe the kid’s deadbeat parents shouldn’t have had a kid they couldn’t afford to care for.

I hear stories about kids going hungry at my son's school. One kid never had a snack for snack time. Breaks my heart. Wish every school would allow people to help those who really need it.

I may be. It’s bullshite. And I volunteer with a kid whom I have to ask if he is cold at night. And I don’t believe him when he shyly says “no”. Little white boy- part of his Christmas gift yesterday was boxers, socks and warm shite to sleep in because I don’t think his POS mom has the heater on at night, if it even works period. You are right- there is a POS parent in there somewhere, but not every situation is created in a vacuum. There are truly a lot of shite situations that people are born into and the cycle never breaks.

Then today I read about these kids who are about an hour north of me who have raw sewage draining in their backyard and frickin diseases from the 18th century. Merry fricking Christmas. They should just learn to be less fricked.

So there is something else in the equation other than an unjust political system or govt entity, right?

So you’re rant about the UN, Africa, and America is pretty fricking pointless since the only one fricking the kid over is the parent, right. I understand your outrage. Aim it towards the mother, not the rest of us.

I think about the less fortunate often and it saddens me when I do. It makes it doubly sad when it's a child and during the holidays.
If we had to be reminded of all the people worldwide who don't even have basic necessities to live, we probably couldn't function with the guilt it would cause since we Americans have so much.
I thank God daily for all he blesses me with and I try not to ever be ungrateful.

It sends me over the fricking edge that there’s people like this in complete need who aren’t getting it, when we have assholes driving Mercedes and beamers totally playing the system.

Wife and I sponsor a child in Africa through Compassion.

We sent him fifty dollars for Christmas. He Sent a picture of himself with the stuff he bought: 1 pair of shorts, 2 shirts, 1 pair of flip flops, 1 soccer ball, and a huge pile of pasta in one pound boxes. It was maybe 20-25 boxes of pasta.

Edinburgh, TX. Is this child even an American citizen to be attending our schools? Not to be a hard arse, but if you sneak across the boarder, or blindly sent your kids to fend for themselves, without a plan, than I don’t feel so bad. The parents should be disciplined for not providing. Sure, the child did not ask for this life, but many have succeeded when put in the same scenario.

In this country, if a kid is fo u s to be cold or hungry, the adult in charge should be dealt with. There are plenty of government programs, private charities and churches to provide for the needs of our poor.

If the parent is not capable of seeking help then the parent is not capable of raising a kid.

The kid is like 7

Given the fact that Edinburgh is close to the Mexican border and like 80% Hispanic, there is a chance that this kids parents are undocumented.

However, whatever “mistakes” this kid’s parents have made, no kid on American soil should go hungry or sleep in the cold regardless of how they got here.

Tighten up border protection. Build Trump’s wall 50 feet high. Put barbed wire on that sucker if you want. But we really can take care on the kids that are here right now and give them a freaking chance.
