Ahh the ole everyone who doesn't think like I do must be of inferior intelligence.

WTF are you blabbing about? Do you even have a clue? You're just guessing, and thinking in apocalyptic generalities like any reactionary would do. They aren't fricking monopolies.

Not until today. Do you understand the difference between information service and title II? The internet was originally Title II but reclassified down to information service somewhere around 2004. However ISPs were required to honor the principles of net neutrality as an information service. Until 2014 when Verizon sued the FCC. Then we moved back to title II in 2015. But rules that the ISPs must honor net neutrality have been in place since the dawn of the internet. Until today.
Not a single part of this statement is true. Good lord man where did you get this tripe?

You might want to fact check that.

I find it ironic that the same people that think the MSM is full of fake news suddenly have unshakable faith in the giant corporations that own them to protect the consumer .

Oh where oh where is my net neutrality? quote: Bruh, why do you hate open markets that innovate technologies that make your life better? Open markets work really well. What exactly is open-market about Comcast deliberately ruining their customers Netflix experience (that their customer pays monthly for)?
In the end the carriers with the best network/performance will win and it's going to migrate over to 5G wireless broadband so you'll have several choices baw, AT&T and VZ are already rolling out 5G hotspots for residential broadband service.

No. Just no.
frick it. I hope this bites y'all on the arse.
Have to pay for all the alt right fake news sites. Then, maybe then you'll get it.

You don't think Netflix should have to pay for a direct connection to Comcast because they overloaded the Content Delivery Network everyone else was paying for (Cogent Communications (CCOI))? Not only did Netflix degrade their speeds, they also slowed all traffic that was funneled through Cogent.

You missed some delicious trolling opportunities on this topic yesterday on the OT.

Funny. My sarcasm meter just registered...

Surely you're bright enough to agree that Comcast throttling netflix but allowing full-access to their own streaming platform is a bad thing for consumers?
Surely you realize that if Comcast does this, they will lose business?
I recently fired Comcast. I dropped their cable service and started streaming all of my TV shows - this saved me about 75 bucks a month. About 3 months later, they started charging me for overages, and the overage fees were between 50 and 200 bucks a month.
I feel like these overage fees were Comcast's way of forcing me back onto their cable plans. My options were to either pay a $50/month surcharge for unlimited downloads or switch back to the cable service for a special rate that added up to being about the same amount.
I fired them and went with Frontier FIOS - 150/150 mbs up/down for $50/month with no limits. Now my total bill is almost $100/month less than it used to be, and my service is better.
If Comcast, or anybody else starts throttling websites, people will revolt and leave in droves. I understand that not everybody lives where they have an option, but enough Comcast customers do live where they have multiple providers that they won't be able to do this.
Any business that has a valid competitor will be looking for ways to attract new customers, not screw them over. When we have a monopoly based on government intervention, then we end up getting screwed.

Won't happen while we have President Trump...
ETA: What I meant to say is that you are a dickhead. You hope we'll all get screwed over just to prove that you're right. The best possible scenario is for you to be wrong and the world just moves along as it did before 2015.
Do you hope that Global Warming heats up the earth to the point where it is unlivable, just so you can say you were right?
C'mon, people. Ain't much going to happen...
