Finn served no purpose but did Han Solo? He was a love interest but did he really add any value to the originals? I get that he was a white good guy but really other than being a wise arse what did he do?
Han was fun. Finn sucks. Speaking of that, suck my dick.

Yeah, my theater was going nuts constantly in TFA. Not here though. No one gave a frick. No applause whatsoever in the end.

I’ll say it
I rather the prequels and they sucked.

My theater people were applauding Luke’s projection fight with Kylo only to watch Luke die 10 seconds later.

Yes he did. When you are dealing with extraordinary topics like the force, the audience needs someone normal to relate to. He is also just a cool mother fricker.

I had a guy beside me that was annoying as frick for the first hour. About 30 minutes after that, I looked over at him and saw the light die from his eyes.

Great self upvote man.
Edit: well I had one in my favor by the time I made this post. Not sure if it is one on your end. My apologies if it isn’t.

The fricking flick of his shoulder after all the laser blasts
That's something Mark Hamill would do, not a Jedi. I audibly groaned when that happened. I couldn't believe they put that in the film

Wasn't me. I will give myself a second to prove it.

I believe you because within the second I made that post it happened to me.
Sorry for being an a-hole there.

Have we ever seen an evil force ghost? It seems like becoming one with the light side of the force is a pre-requisite for force ghost riding the whip. On the other hand, it could be possible for some evil ancient sith lord to basically take on a new body.
The force ghosts act as mentors. The Sith are only interested in their own power so I doubt if Snope would be interested in helping Kyle.

Same here with a quiet (packed) theater. People were going nuts during TFA (and, to a lesser extent, Rogue 1). I mostly feel bad for my ten year old son, he was so pumped for it.
I have no problem with them taking the story in different directions, just don't do stupid or illogical shite like Leia flying through space or the Admiral not telling an already edgy pilot about her plan to evacuate. And don't crack dumbass jokes that ruin the mood.
I mean, did Luke teach Rey anything or impart any wisdom to her? Compare it with Obi Wan or Yoda.
Why did it look like they spent $50 on Yoda's cgi? A puppet would have been best. The prequel Yoda was still better. frick

No thanks I’ll just hate you for going to Klan U.
Solo and his bear dog were just comic relief. I understand that people love them but they weren’t essential to the story.

None of the complaints (and I mean literally NONE of them) are legit and can all be categorized as nitpicking or just dumb.
I enjoyed parts of the force scenes. Especially the connection between Rey and Ren and the reason for Luke's seclusion.
But overall, man what a waste. Every time they built up plot and suspense they almost immediately shite it down the toilet. From the opening sequence with the bombers almost failing to the end with Luke almost dieing they robbed the viewer of every climax.
There was absolutely no meaning or depth or real danger or excitement anywhere in the entire movie with the exception of the connection between Rey and Ren which they eventually squashed all the joy out of.
That movie had so much wasted potential. It was all constant buildup with absolutely no payoff. One giant failure to climax. Star Wars: Blue Balls.
I mean can you point me to one time in the entire movie that had a consequence? After the 4th miraculous cliche de-escalation of danger I couldn't even take the movie seriously anymore.
When the random Chinese whatever her name was sneak attack saved Finn from the beam I was crying laughing in my seat.
I can think of 5 separate times the First Order had the resistance dead and some stupid nonsensical plot armor saved every major character. It was infuriating.
And they turned the entirety of Rey into a pathetic joke.
She didn't beat Kylo.
She didn't beat Snoke
She failed to get Luke back
She didn't find out who her parents were
She had no growth as a character
Snoke was as easily thrown away. Who the frick was he? How the frick was he such an immensely powerful Sith Lord? How did he get to Kylo? How did he even know who Kylo was?
Seriously frick the constant anticlimactic bullshite this movie put you THROUGH. It was exhausting to sit through:
Poe is dead. NOT!
The bombers failed. NOT
The resistance couldn't get away. NOT
Hux is dead. NOT
The genius first order tracked them through hyperspace and can now kill them. NOT
Leia is dead. NOT
It's impossible to escape them. NOT
Reys finding her true identity. NOT
Luke is back. NOT
Luke is a serious badass. NOT
Rey learns from and develops under Luke. NOT
Snoke is an all powerful badass. NOT
Finn and the Chinese girl sacrificed themselves. NOT
Rey fights Kylo. NOT
Hux is dead again. NOT
Finn is executed. NOT
Finn is thrown off a cliff. NOT
Finn sacrifices himself. NOT
Chinese girl is dead. NOT
The resistance is doomed again. NOT
Luke is fighting Kylo NOT
The resistance sacrificed themselves to send the signal to war. NOT

Han Solo is a better character than Finn and it's not up for debate and it's not about race. Lando is a better character than Finn. Fricking everyone in Rogue 1 is better.
By better, I mean I enjoy their scenes and want to watch more of them.

Jar Jar and Finn are just about the same category for me at this point.
