I’m not defending Finn. He serves no purpose. His character is an uninteresting diversion and that screen time could have been better used with Luke.

I agree. Finn crashing into the cannon would have been a nice heroic death (and Rose's reasoning didn't make sense - Finn was trying to save the ones he loved).

The whole shitty subplot about her being poor and them wrecking the bad rich people casino, and the truth of who profits from war, etc... Was horrendously written and unnecessary.
I can't believe they gave Rian Johnson a while trilogy. He failed in every aspect. Script, pacing, plot, emotional pull, scene building, action climax etc...

I absolutely loved TFA and this movie destroyed everything great about that movie, save Kylo. I just wish he would've killed his mom.

The humor was off the whole movie. Finn and Rose didn't have anything to do. I was surprised when she kissed him. I didn't think they had any chemistry and I had no clue they were going to be a thing.

When I first saw Hamill bitching about how they portrayed Luke in this one I thought he was probably just overstepping his place in all this.
After seeing the film he was totally correct and I am surprised he even agreed to go forward with it. If it had been me and I didn't need the cash, I would have said hell no to that script.
