Almost exact thing happened to me. Bout a year long relationship, about 2-3 days before Christmas. She’d been “out of town” and came back but said she was sick. I went to surprise her with a gift. Knocked on door and I heard scrambling around. Opened door and Jody (her long time ex) was running out the back door and she had blanket wrapped around her running towards the door. She was crying and screaming. I told her to call him back in and finish,
I was done. I was upset for a few days but got over it as I was early 20s by then. If I would have been like 16-17 I wouldn’t have handled it as well. Kept gift (I think perfume but can’t remember) and like a dirt bag, gave it to next girlfriend on her bday, like 7-8 months later. Cheap, I know. No wonder I got cheated on.
ETA: It was weird he took off running. They had dated like 6-7 years. I met girl like a month after they broke up. If I’d dated an ex that long I wouldn’t take off running out back like that.

My ego that had been so destroyed by my own experience, she knew just how to stroke it, just how to tempt me, my every weakness. It started out so small, just talking, then flirting, then she started sending me pictures...the phone sex.

It’s like, even knowing it was wrong, even knowing the damage it causes...all that didn’t seem to matter. It was a literal drug.
Everytime we swore it was the last time. I’d hold out for a little bit...then she’d message me again. Send me a dirty pic. Tell me how she needed me inside her, needed my hands on her.
And i’d give in. The flesh was weak. And the sex was mind blowing.
Even when I knew that he knew I couldn’t, or wouldn’t, stop.
It was such a rush, such a thrill. It didn’t have anything to do with him. I didn’t know him from Adam.
It was her. Making me feel wanted and needed and good again. And the taboo nature of it.
Hardest thing i’ve Ever had to quit. It’s a dangerous drug once you get started. So hard to stop.

I thought being "Jodey'd" exclusively meant your woman was fricking around while you were deployed in the military.
I know LOTS of guys that happened to.
Happened to me, my skank of a wife even dumped our child off at her parents while I was in Iraq and didn't even tell MY parents where he was. It was almost 6 months later before i could get home and get to court to get legal custody of my kid. This dumb bitch was clear across the country shacked up with some guy. Hadn't filed for divorce or anything, just moved across the country and shacked up.
Murdering such a whore should be legal.
I know LOTS of guys that happened to.

A friend of mine, went into business with his wife. They opened up several successful locations and to this day, his now ex-wife has control over them.
Why is she now an ex? Turns out, the misses was banging the general contractor the whole time. Apparently, the GC had the ability to erect things outside of construction materials.
My friend didn't want any part of the successful business he helped start, mostly because he didn't want anything to do with her.
As far as his ex-wife is concerned, the contractor fling fell apart. However, as much as I would like to tell you that her malicious behavior caught up to her, it didn't. She ended up marrying a very successful business person and they're loaded.
And for my friend, he's doing okay. Remarried. Has children. And now is COO of a large corporation.
His one piece of advice to me? He said, "if ever you start your own business, keep your wife away from the general contractor."

Not a military Jody story, but I know a guy who got divorced not too long after his wedding because he'd found out his wife had been banging the wedding photographer for months.

Knew a girl about 10 years ago and we always flirted with each other. She had a boyfriend that was always working offshore and she used to come over all the time and fellate me. Later on they got married and had two kids. Still friends with her on FB. I guess I was a Jody.

I realized I was in the process of becoming a Jody, and shut it down. Became friends with a female coworker who I knew was married, back when I was single. All work friends would meet up after work, and she was always there and her husband never was. She would talk and flirt with me, but I never reciprocated.
One day, she calls me and invites me on her boat with a bunch of co-workers. I get there, and no one else is there. I figured out what was going on, and said I wasn't interested-she was married. Couldn't do that to another man.
I'm pretty oblivious when it comes to what women are plotting. Brb, gotta check in on the wife...

Worst is on my 21st bday, all my buddies took me out to party and one of my best friends was just starting to date a girl. They had been talking about a month maybe. I was extremely drunk and somehow in backseat with her and a guy I knew who wasn't part of our group was driving with his girl up front.
We were heading to a different bar and somehow my buddy and his girl got separated. She actually tried to hit on me and I straight up told her no, even guy driving was a witness to me saying no.
She went back and told my good friend I tried hooking up with her. None of those guys talked to me for about a year after that. I was actually surprised they didn't believe me but I think he dated that girl for another 6-7 months afterwards. I tried to tell my buddies to go ask guy driving for proof but they weren't mutual friends and didn't care to ask. I was pretty tore up about the whole situation.
