After the 1999 LSU/UF game, it was raining cats and dogs that game, we went back home, N. LA. Passing thru Monroe, we saw a guy walking up the exit ramp around downtown. I was in the back seat and my dad swerved to miss the guy. Unfortunately, the 18 wheeler behind did not swerve. I was 16 y/o and watched this dude get smoked by the 18 wheeler.
Next day, my mom gets a call that her cousin was killed by an 18 wheeler the night before. He had struggled with addiction for years and was on something. I never met the guy but knowing I watched my mom’s cousin die was surreal.

Khobar towers. fricking terrorist goat frickers killed a great guy I went to high school with. Looking at pics of bomb damage, I can't imagine the hell he went thru.

Didn’t know him, but I read a news story of an idiot carnie who was oiling a Ferris wheel while it was going. His hair got caught in the machine and it lifted him like 50 feet in the air before scalping him and then landing on a chain length fence basically breaking him in half.

Wife works in surgery... 2 come to mind.
1- woman came in with her throat ripped open. she was feeding her donkey and bit her throat.
2- had emergency comming in from a car accident with 2 teens. Got the girl into surgey and was trying to insert breathing tube and could not get it in because something was in her throat.She died. come to find out this chick was giving her bf a bj and wrecked causing her to bite the dick off and lodge in her throat. Terrible to explain to parents

One of my friend's younger sister was home from college with one of her friends from college. They were hit by a fire pumper truck in the intersection and both were killed. The weird part of the story was that they had just gone by her best friend's house to pick her up, but she did not go with them because she was sick. Guess who was driving the fire truck? The father of the girl that was sick. He had also been sick and was driving the fire truck while on medication. He killed his daughter's best friend and almost his daughter.

Knew about this guy in his 40's that worked for a local lumber company and not sure if he was trying to retrieve something or what but the saw blade dug into his leg, severing his femoral artery and he died before getting to the hospital.
My neighbor and his family was looking at marble/granite for his kitchen, the slabs in the yard are huge and heavy as hell, and some shite-arse worker accidentally knocked one of the slabs over killing his 5 year old son. Very sad.

There's a video out there of a police officer in Vietnam that was cut in half at the waist after being run over by a truck. He was completely conscious and lived for at least 10 minutes after the accident. People drove by the scene like it was just a stalled car on the side of the road without a care. A stranger approached and talked with the man about what to say to his family.

I'm way late.
But I had a cousin who was boating on Logan Martin lake with his wife. When he went swimming, his wife threw the boat in reverse and drove the propeller up his crotch and into his stomach.
She was drunk when it happened, so they found her not guilty on a murder charge. But everyone thinks it's obvious she did it on purpose.

Guy I worked with missed a curve on his motor bike and ran head first into a pickup. He went through the windshield and ended up in the back seat. It was obviously a closed casket. The saddest part is the he wasn't being a hot dog he was actually very careful. Some of his friends believe that he in moments noticed missed the turn on purpose. 2 months before this he woke up one morning and found his wife dead in bed next to him.

My friend George, a corporate pilot who didn t have a fireplace because he was scared of fire, falling short of the runway at PBI (Palm Beach International) and crashing into the buildings across the highway. Killed in the resulting ball of fire. RIP

Not someone I knew but someone my uncle knew. They (mother driving daughter in passenger seat) were driving down a narrow twisty road between Jasper, Al an Tuscaloosa. A clevis fell off a truck in front of them bounced once and went through the windshield into the mom's face killing her instantly. Car plunged off an embankment killing the daughter.
