Again Liberals, I don’t see a problem with this Tax Reform Bill

So the poor folks don’t get anything. It’s not like they were asking.
I read where state and local income taxes can no longer be claimed as a deduction meh.
It’s a win for both sides: DACA will apparently be shored up and the Senator Collins says a bipartisan bill to stabilize the ACA has been agreed upon if she was a yes.
No biggie!
(Plus, I gets a tax break lol)

I don’t see how this tax bill is a big deal or problem at all. The only reason it’s making the news and we have a lot of hand clapping here is because Trump is finally going to get something passed.

Literally the only people who benefit are millionaires and corporations. That's it. They're the only ones, literally. Every one else is a sucker who's going to be killed by it...like literally. I heard someone tell me this on Facebook so it's true

The poors get most if not all of any taxes paid back. What do they expect? Nobody should get a refund for more than the money they paid in.

Of course i know you’re being sarcastic so I’m not arguing with you. Just something I’m pointing out about the corporations since you brought it up. It bugs me how media insinuates that corporations are all big and bad and the dems eat that up.
There are SO many small corporations that will benefit from this and their struggling employees in turn will benefit.
Several years ago i was the bookkeeper for a small law firm. The taxes were so high that there wasn’t much left to pay the secretaries, paralegals etc and non partner attorneys. Not all corporations are what the media paints them to be. It’s frustrating how people think of big skyrise downtown millionaires “stealing” from the poor when they hear the word corporation when the majority of corporations are small businesses.

I just want more info on how college costs are taken into account. My older brother has 4 kids, the first starting college in 2 years.

Yes, he can. Doesn't mean I want him getting slammed by sudden changes that didn't exist when they were born.

It does look there is a group of middle class who's taxes will go up. I'm not sure with the standard deduction being higher how that effects it. I haven't read much on how the corporate tax breaks work.
Raising taxes on the upper middle class to afford corporate tax cuts just doesn't sit right with me. Because "trickle down" is a load of shite. If you listen to the republican talking points you would think every company in the U.S. is going to give all their employees raises because they pay less in taxes. Yeah it doesn't work that way.
Does look like the majority of the middle class will get a significant break I like that part. I like taking confusion out of the tax code. I'll have to wait and see if the new standard deduction is better because I itemize every year. If it is then I like that part too.

You must be a member of the donor class, at least the investor class. That's who this "tax reform" package helps, not so much the middle-class.

Please explain. Doubling of standard deduction should help 95% of middle class families. I know it will help mine.

Honestly it doesn’t seem as bad as some make it out to be. Maybe it’s just disappointing that Trump’s campaign promises were to make a tax deal for the middle class and not for “hedge-fund guys” and people like himself. It could feel a bit swampy.

The cuts to individual's taxes sunset eventually. The tax cuts for people like Donald Trump (elimination of alternative minimum tax and estate tax is a BIG boon to him) and corporations are permanent. Well over 65% of the tax cuts in this package go to the wealthy and corporations. It's hardly a "middle-class tax cut." And it will definitely add to the national debt over ten years, likely about $2 trillion. I thought Republicans were against increasing the national debt, no?

What income group? Give me a dollar range.
Based on what I've seen, pretty much every demographic is going to pay less.

Link?
Does the doubling of the standard deduction end?
Does the doubling of the child tax credit end?
If not then you're most likely wrong. Those 2 things alone help the lower and middle class immensely. Just show me some facts to back up your claim.

I’d assume that most people here don’t make enough to see a significant difference either way. The bill was designed to slash corporate rates and eliminate the AMT, the rest is fluff to help it pass.
There are some nice crumbs for the middle class but don’t look at what the other hand is doing.

The middle class ALREADY pays a negligible amount of federal income taxes
When you pay crumbs, how can you get a tax cut that is more than crumbs?
