A more thoughtful gift would be paying his tuition for welding school.

DSSD! A lot of people hate the DSSD due to thickness and diameter, it is very un-Rolexy, however, I love mine and have found the "narrow" bracelet to be very comfortable and hold the mass of the watch much better than I ever expected.
And WOW Obtuse that collection is unreal.

I don't find them to be too thick and they sit fine on my wrist
My critique is limited to comparing the 42mm models with the old cal. 2500 - that 43.5 Good Planet & your titanium one would have the proportions distributed better. I'm curious to try the new 39.5 on my girlish wrists.
Also: tha frick kind of law are you practicing? I am doing it wrong.

Only one, the Monaco Gulf in the lower left hand, released for what would have been McQueen's 75th birthday.

I think the SD43 is probably their most perfect dive watch. I have the SD 4k and would like a SD43 but have curtailed watch spending for the last couple of years.
Thanks BTW

First, that is a good eye picking out the TI and Goodplanet POs from my potato picture. I will say I do like the proportions of the 2500 POs a little better but will give it up for the 8500 movements.
Actually, none of those were bought with "law money", my collection comes from 20 years of buying and selling watches, primarily vintage Daytonas, SDs and Subs. About 7 years ago I sold off all my vintage Rolexes and bought modern watches as I was beginning to shy away from wearing them and took advantage of the huge price increases for the vintage models.

The modern one or the "vintage" one on a Nato with the military dial. If it is the latter it is one of the Watchco NOS 300s they sold a few years ago. The dial was switched in when I found a military dial BUT my watchsmith seemed to think it may be a Vietnamese repro, I am dubious given the circumstances through which I acquired it. In any case it is NOT a military issue 300 and everything but the movement is an Omega replacement part.

I pretty much gave up treating watches like a hobby about 2 years ago, I had used all money from selling my vintage collection and had to stop going to WUS or I would have started spending real money. There are plenty more I would like to have like a SD43 but with my current mindset I would have to spend "real" money instead of watch hobby money. I have one watch left and that is a Tribute to Reverso American edition to replace the one I had stolen but it is rare as hens teeth.
I just rotate daily usually by their spot in the boxes or on occasion by whim.

In a sheepish voice "four".
A 5070, Nautilus 5711 & 5980 and a Aquanaut 5167 all in the upper left corner the 5167 is on a bracelet on the second row just below the 5070.

Modern one
Finding a vintage SM300 that isn’t a frankenwatch seems very difficult.
