Homerun ? No. Gundy is good-in the big 12. But I don't think he will just stride into the SEC and succeed after playing backyard football for the last 15 years. Save me the whole "sec isn't good this year". The brand of football is still there and any given year you have three teams in the conference that line up and push you around. Gundy has never coached against that

he is winning at oklahoma state. i repeat oklahoma state. total trash program before miles got there, and gundy has only elevated them.

I don't think for a second he will come to Tennessee. Gundy is just shaking T. Boone down for another raise imo

It would be hilarious if VOLS had a coach with a mullet tho

Considering where this situation was last night, Gundy would be a fantastic hire for the Vols.

I personally don't see Gundy doing well in the living rooms across the southeast

That's basically where he recruits now, along with Texas.

The good news is that if we hire Gundy we already have a defense in place that allows our opponents to score lots of points so we’re half way there

Wasn’t there a rumor Florida offered Gundy and he already turned it down? Why would he turn down Florida outright but consider Tennessee?

Pat Jones says Florida offered Mike Gundy the job after Chip Kelly & Scott Frost. Says Mike didn’t use it to negotiate with #okstate. "This job was offered to Mike Gundy."

Arkansas is going to spend a lot of money to poach him. It's a step down for him because Arkansas hasn't won shite and he at least has Okie State upnand is adapted to that style of play.

It's not a good hire in my opinion. Don't see him winning meaningful games in the SEC by throwing the ball 65 times and just out scoring everyone. And he shouldn't leave anyways.

that is the only person i've heard that from. it's been widely circulated that mullen was the third choice behind kelly and frost.

Honest answer, only thing that's coming to mind right now?

Sexton wants to frick with Tennessee after we had the Schiano debacle and leverage us to help his guy. Easy sell to Gundy he's going to get him more money, but personally Schiano wants to tell Currie he's not the one in charge.

If you were to believe this board only Saban is a good coach.

So is he coming or is T. Boone going to just open up the checkbook?

If T Boone says fire Gundy, OSU will fire Gundy.
If he's had enough of working with T Boone I could see him bolting.

They lose Rudolph so it will likely be a more difficult year.

Texas can't stay down forever, can they?

Tenn might be a nice fit.

I think Gundy is trying to get away from T Boone Pickens at this point.

They have resources and he can recruit Texas from there but I think he would rather exchange one a-hole booster for a dumbass booster like Haslem right now.

Seriously. Gundy is an awesome coach. The only coaches in the SEC I would put ahead of Gundy right now for sure are Saban and probably Gus. I think Gundy and Mullen are similar and I would probably pick Gundy if forced to choose

I just don’t see him leaving OK State now when it seems him and Pickens have patched everything up

Rivals saying Gundy wasn't interviewed yesterday, matter of fact, no one was interviewed.

Yes that's accurate but I stand by my assessment. I see none of y'all agree with me and I will eat the dung if I'm wrong about it.
