Jimmy Hyams reported that Tennessee is focused on Gundy and likely interviewed him in Dallas yesterday.

Three sources told me UT has interviewed Gundy, perhaps in Dallas. UT offered Gundy in 2012 but he said declined.
talk about a homerun hire and massive upgrade from schiano.

would be an incredible turnaround

Gundy would definitely be a great hire. Starting to feel like the SEC might be getting some solid coaches back in this conference. Thank God.

This will be interesting for sure. I personally don't see Gundy doing well in the living rooms across the southeast or the nation. I just don't see Gundy out recruiting Saban, Orgeron, Smart, Mullen, or Malzahn.

Pruitt and Venables have interviewed at Mississippi State.
any of these guys, with the exception of steele, would be better than schiano also.

If this happened, the East would be fun as hell the next few years.

He interviewed there last time

Please make this happen!

Gonna have to pay him $10m to consider it after the events of the last few days. Would be a good hire though.

If UT gets Gundy, why the frick wasnt he their first call and offer instead of their 5th or 6th?

Homerun ? No. Gundy is good-in the big 12. But I don't think he will just stride into the SEC and succeed after playing backyard football for the last 15 years. Save me the whole "sec isn't good this year". The brand of football is still there and any given year you have three teams in the conference that line up and push you around. Gundy has never coached against that

didn't he decline back then?

I'd like to see Gundy in the east. it'd finally make their games fun to watch.

To say the least. It would be the most successful fan revolt in the history of college football.

Gundy may be using this as leverage to get more money from Okie St. Tennessee should go after Pruitt, Venables, or Norvell (who already knows the recruiting trails of Tennessee coaching at Memphis).

Sounds like we’ve offered Gundy, none of our fabnbase believe we can get him though. Just getting himself a salary bump

Gundy is 113-53 (.681 winning pct) at Okie State
Miles was 28-21 (.517 winnig pct) at Okie State
Gundy is absolutely a homerun hire. He won a big 12 title and had Okie State 1 spot away from a national title game shot

Gundy can recruit, he's pulled some kids out of LA
