I think Ok State would match or come close but you never know. I wonder if Arkansas gets in on this as well, I want no parts of playing Gundy every year at Arkansas

If Gundy moves and we find out Arkansas never tried to make a call

Hard to see Gundy taking the job. But he wouldn't have to replace too much of his wardrobe.

Gundy would be an absolute homerun.

What he's done at OSU is unprecedented. I really wanted him at LSU.

“I’m very happy in the situation I’m in. But one guy said, ‘Well what if they call and give you a six-year deal at nine million dollars a year?’ I don’t know. I’d probably have to listen. You know? Something crazy.”

The problem now is that after the Schiano disaster, Tennessee might be desperate enough to give him $9 million. According to Robert Allen, anyway.

Agreed 100%, I have always said you make him say no first.

I actually agree with this. If Arkansas wants to pay big I think that would be a bigger threat to Ok State. Ultimately I’m guessing he gets another extension/raise and stays at OSU

So Tennessee goes from hiring Schiano for $4.5 million to throwing $8.4m at Gundy?

I’m guessing other boosters are willing to pony up big time if it means reducing Haslem’s influence on the program.

Throwing top 5 money at a coach is a big way to get past the Schiano clusterfrick from this past weekend.

Oh I believe it. I'm laughing at how fricking stupid John Currie is. He had two months to prepare for this and the best he could do was Schiano.

Now we are in scramble mode and might hit a Hail Mary with the Mullet man

They are about to commit more money, annually, to gundy than we are preparing to do with fisher. Yea, he's desperate. But if he pulls this off than he's getting a great coach

so it looks like the double the salary rumor came from the OSU sideline reporter

There is very little chance that this is anything other than a favor from Pickens to the Haslams as they try and save face lol.

This guy just seems perfect for East Tennessee

- Has a mullet
- Gets RED as hell with his rants directed at the media when someone attacks his kids (players)
- Hunts rattlesnakes as a hobby

Just look at this guy. He looks like a common Appalachian man that you might run into at a Food City in Bristol picking up a bag of charcoal and a case of Keystone Ice
