My prediction is that Texas will be Blue closer to 2032.

But is the illegal immigration really that bad? I've only ever visited Galveston and Dallas

Let me add that I realize many of you live in Texas and I understand that it has a strong conservative base. I don't think the base will change per se.

The issue will be if too many immigrants migrate.

Zero... The illegals will be offset by everyone moving here from other states pissed that their taxes are too high everywhere else.

It's gonna be all the California liberals moving in to work that will turn Texas blue.

Texas will switch from a "winner take all" to a "proportional distribution " rule for electorial votes before the blue take over happens.

With Generation Z coming up and being able to vote California will go red before Texas goes blue. I doubt we will see that for many years though.

Why would this be an issue in any state if there is a huge illegal immigration population?? They shouldn't be allowed to vote anyway unless there is massive voter fraud..

The wall will be built, some of the illegal immigrants will be deported, voter ID laws will be ruled constitutional by the SCOTUS and the dems voter fraud racket will cease. There is a greater chance that Cali is red before Texas is blue.

Once Texas turns blue it’s time to find a new country to live in

Mississippi will go Blue first. It has highest percentage of minority’s moving into the state in the US.

With a small population it shouldn’t take to many to change the voting block. It may have a large conservative base, but it doesn’t matter how strong the base is when they are outnumbered.

I moved to West Texas from Alabama, and I was blown away by how racist Hispanics are against illegals. These are the same students who go to visit family across the border for dental work and medicines.

The xenophobia is real in here. Newsflash: illegal immigrants don't vote.

It's the massive influx of people moving to population centers from other population centers around the country that will turn Texas purple within a decade.

But maybe it will take longer. You still have gerrymandering (maybe) and suppression (definitely) to lean on.

Texas has a massive amount of voter fraud in the inner cities and along the border. If that could be stopped, Texas will not turn blue for a very long time.

On any given year 20-40% of Hispanics vote R, so take away the voter fraud and Texas is ever more red than it currently is.

Never.

All the Cali Liberals are mostly moving to Austin which has been blue.

Collin County is on pace to over throw Dallas County as the largest County in the Metroplex. I will let you guess how many conservatives are there.

Most suburbs are outpacing urban areas right now in growth. I know the trend is the opposite in other parts of the world but it's not here in DFW.

I am not sure what's going down in Houston but I've heard similar.

Oh btw, Tarrant County will never be blue .

I'd live in Ft.Worth if the right side of the Metroplex went blue (which it won't).

Minimal. 2nd and 3rd Generation Hispanics are far more conservative than their parents and grandparents.
