Can we get this shite to the Supreme Court already and just lump this in there with the travel ban?
quote:
U.S. District Court Judge William Orrick ruled that the White House does not have the authority to impose new conditions on spending already approved by Congress.

The judge’s ruling on Monday came after two California counties, San Francisco and Santa Clara, filed lawsuits against the Trump administration.

Why have we not sued these cities in court for their refusal to comply with federal law?

I would like to see the admin go ahead and honor their promise of withholding the money. Would give us good insight on if one man, a judge, has more policy influence than a whole branch of government.
Exactly what would happen if the admin defies the judge's order (he will be overturned as usual in CA)? Would this judge have the power to arrest someone within the admin?

It would be great if a lot of these judges (ESPECIALLY IN THE NINTH) got suddenly violently ill and could no longer do their jobs. frick them.

The federal judge — William Orrick — who just sided with the sanctuary city crowd and blocked President Donald Trump’s order to pull tax dollars from jurisdictions that insisted on breaking border laws happens to have a background that includes bundling donations for Barack Obama.
He’s not just an Obama fan, either. Orrick’s also raised campaign money for John Kerry during that Massachusetts senator’s 2004 try for the White House.
Orrick, according to an investigation from the Federalist conducted in July 2015, was not only nominated to his court position by Obama. He also served as a “major donor to and bundler for President Obama’s presidential campaign … [raising] at least $200,000 for Obama and [donating] $30,800 to committees supporting him,” the news outlet reported. A little evidence to prove your point:
quote:
Federal Judge William Orrick III, who on Tuesday blocked President Trump's order to withhold federal funds from sanctuary cities, reportedly bundled hundreds of thousands of dollars for President Barack Obama.
Orrick, of the Northern District of California, issued an injunction against the Trump administration after the city of San Francisco and county of Santa Clara sued over the president's plan to withhold federal funds from municipalities that harbor illegal immigrants.
The same judge issued a restraining order in 2015 against the advocacy group responsible for undercover videos purporting to show Planned Parenthood employees plotting to sell baby organs.
At the time, The Federalist found that Orrick raised at least $200,000 for Obama and donated more than $30,000 to groups supporting him.

This country is laughable. Only one in the world where there are safe zones for people who break laws.
Best part is the "undocumented" "Illegals" that stand out with signs protesting that they are in fact undocumented and illegal and "Aren't going anywhere". Slap in the face to people trying to come here legally. WE ARE A JOKE.

There are other ways to deal with this. Just let it be known that US immigration laws aren’t being enforced in California and the federal government will let California handle this internally. Basically a hands off approach. Let California become a destination state for illegals across the US.
Federal government has the power to open/close military bases and can relocate a variety of federal offices that aren’t involved specifically in California. Just start moving stuff out however and wherever we can.
Can easily bring California to its knees so to speak. Much more effective ways to deal with California are available to Trump if he chooses to do so.

That's comical right there. Juat because money is approved for a use does not mean it muat be spent for that use.

Meh, making some more lawyers rich and just waiting until it reaches the right court where conservative judges will side with the administration. My money is still on POTUS & AG!!

The leaders pushing/allowing the breaking of the law should be arrested, fined and prosecuted.

hmmm - not good for national security, but if we think about it politically (like the DEMs do with everything) then we should move those bases to states which are just marginally blue - or about to go blue. Another conservative factor in those states might tip the next election. Let California go 80% blue instead of just 75%.

Is there an oath or law that requires local police to enforce federal laws?
Isn't that the job for the FBI and other federal organizations?
