Because of illegal recruiting we now live in a"split" playoff world with no definitive state champion and 0-10 teams get in the playoffs. Is an all-sport split inevitable?

They've already split a bunch of other sports besides football.

In short, the LHSAA is controlled by Louisiana public school principals, which is a group of imbeciles.

You are being unnecessarily harsh to imbecile by comparing them to public school principals.

We are in the age of participation trophies. This is just a microcosm of just that.

Not the most corrupt school but will eventually be there and that is Lafayette Christian Academy (LCA). They don't even try to hide it anymore in basketball or football!! it will all come crashing down.

Please give an example. Do they recruit more than other schools?

What is the deal with this split in the LA hs football playoffs? I see that y'all have classifications (A, AA, etc.) and then divisions. Can someone explain it? I have seen several LA people on this board complain about it, but why do they do it in the first place? Is it due to there being a plethora of private or parochial schools in the state? Is it really because of talent disparity at different schools due to recruiting?

GA might have a similar deal going but just in A, we have A-private and A-public. In all the other classifications the private and public schools play each other in the playoffs.

At playoff time Louisiana now separates the “Select” schools- basically private schools from the public schools.

The private and public schools still have divisions for the playoffs based on size....so that makes a lot of “champions”

The public schools wanted it because they think it is unfair that private schools don’t have specific areas from which to draw kids.

The top public schools athletically are still able to draw in kids one way or another...and there will still be mainly a small group within each division that will win. Joe Blow public school still won’t win

Because certain schools (John Curtis private school) has about 850 students, and over 100 of them play football.

And they are all athlete's.

And they would beat up on public schools with only the same amount of students. But only has about 10 decent football players
