The age of consent in NC is 16; there's nothing illegal about that. But, the fact that this was a student/teacher relationship does potentially make it a crime under § 14-202.4
From what I know as a recent alumni there she was sending nudes to a student via Snapchat and they were caught making out in a classroom with the door open.

Why is there no punishment for the students in these cases? I realize the teacher is suppose to be the adult and know better, but maybe if the students knew there were consequences, like suspension or expulsion, then it would reduce a lot of these cases.
