Your reading comprehension isn't the best. I'm not interpreting anything. I'm saying regardless of the message/messenger, if you kneel during the anthem you're being disrespectful whether you're intending to or not. Where's in the interpretation in that?

It's an interpretation because it's not the only point of view.

quote:

Whether I care about his protested issue or not is irrelevant to my point. (and I do care, but you've already made up your mind that anyone that thinks kneeling is disrespectful automatically doesn't care about police brutality). That is really ignorant.

I never said you didn't care because you disagreed with kneeling. If you can't disagree with it and have a conversation about the issues, that's what I take issue with. I have only read a few of your comments that I responded to and we didn't dialogue about the issue of police brutality.

You people are insufferable. I'm sick of this even being an issue - these guys can demonstrate however they want; I honestly don't care. But the fact that some of yall get so worked up over this is pathetic.

no you can't

you live free today to be able to protest anything but the blood spilled to give you what you have - it is that simple

you take a knee instead of standing and putting your hand over you heart and then say I am not disrespecting the vets - LOL - that is so stupid - of course you are

they give a pledge to support the Flag and all it stands for

I am a man of faith but I will give anyone that sits during the playing of our National Anthem a good Go to Hell !!!

My Fathers generation built what you enjoy each day and 100's of thousands died

I can't believe this bunch can't get it or they just don't care

Glad you are entertained. I don't know why you or anyone would react that way.

To be honest, I really wanted to know more about this issue.

From reading the articles in my post I think Reid is being thoughtful and respectful and that he is motivated by the same convictions and concerns for freedom from oppression, and equal rights to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.

The NFL could simply revert to bringing the teams out after the anthem and avoid the whole DOD taxpayer-funded circus.

The NFL is losing viewership and popularity but that trend has more to do with College Football spread offenses being more exciting and fun to watch.

Let’s see, so far this yr. 500 People, mostly black, have been murdered in Chicago mostly by other blacks. For 2016 and 2017, the number is almost 1300.

I wonder why Colin is not all worked up over that really incredible number??

In early 2016, I began paying attention to reports about the incredible number of unarmed black people being killed by the police.
------

This is a completely fabricated narrative. Black Americas strings are being yanked by the NWO Antichrist Communist Lodgers. Soros is Most Worshipful Master. Pay attention.

Everyone on this rant knows the kneeling is not about the flag or the anthem but the murder of black men in this country by the police. They find all of them not guilty. Let’s get real people

Then do it more

The issue has been going on for years, what stopped both sides from coming together before this protest?

You tell me. Maybe the messenger needs to be someone more respected.

Maybe we need to see it's an issue accross racial lines.

Maybe it starts at home, school, church.

I truly believe our moral values have a ton to do with situations affecting the US today.

So many spoiled brats whom I bet have never lived in an underprivileged country or under a dictatorship.

Making millions and protesting about the undeserved...really ?
then donate some of those millions to help,
others have donated their lives, so that's the least you can do.

I grew up under Communism and have buried three friends that have died in combat for the flag, so take your cause elsewhere.

YOU are AT A JOB and no one should have to listen to your religious, sexual or political views.
People are buying a product, and OVERPRICED indeed.

Because you, like the NFL players, have no clue what 'freedom of speech' actually means

It ONLY means that the GOVERNMENT cant take actions against your speech. But your boss, your neighbors, and your friends sure as hell can. People get sued all the time for things they say. And lose

These idiots don't get the fact they people paid for those tickets, their cable, their TV, their Internet stream, or their computers, and can shut the protests down any damn time they feel like it

Last weekend's TV ratings were down 29% from last year, which was already down from 2015. And there is not a thing the NFL kneelers can do to protect their paychecks, when the contracts are up. Despite their 'freedom' to kneel

It just further reinforces the point that those guys are not smart enough to even know why they are kneeling, let alone how much 'freedom' they are guaranteed to do so

As a 21 year Air Force Vet.....that's his right! If you don't like what he's doing, that's your right as well. He played for LSU, you didn't....get over yourself!

The ultimate show of respect that can be paid to our servicemen and veterans is not letting the freedoms they fight for become undermined and decay. By NOT taking a stand against tyranny, corruption, and repression at home we disrespect those who served and cheapen the sacrifice of those who have given their lives for our rights.
