Effort AND coaching

Why don't "weird things" happen to Bama?

So the talent gap is a myth right?

no not at all. But we are closing the Gap next year with Lawrence and Alexander returning and Shelvin and Polomalo coming in bringing some much needed beef to the D line.

The O line should be much better with true freshman Ingram, Charles, and Deculous having a year experience under their belts.

But we don't have guys like Williams and Piersbacker on our o line.

They have 1st and 2nd round talent on their O line while we have late round and UDFA level talent on ours for the most part but that could be changing in the better for us soon.

Beating Colorado St by 40 points less than they beat Ole Miss is pretty weird.

Yes. 4 games of live action, film study, and coaching up mistakes is a helluva lot of experience.

Would you not say they've improved? How TF did that happen?

Coach O meddled in Canada’s offense during the Troy week, totally neutered it by taking out the motions and shifts. The Troy loss is on Coach O.

LSU was near full health

Bama's fronts on both sides is not what it was in the past. They lost a lot to the draft last year, esp on defense.

We have very similar talent and experience as Alabama on the offensive line. The facts and statistics have been laid out here before

Bama has had plenty of high round picks on the o line. We had Turner and Collins. Who else?

Simple thinking?

Dude, you just tossed it up to "weird things" and "I don't know"

When you play in a system with excellent coaching and discipline it can make you look alot better than you are.

How many more olineman do they have playing successfully in the pros? Asking because I don't know, but that would be a better question than draft position

Rashard Lawrence, Ed Alexander, and Herron all missed the Troy game. so that's 3 of the 6 guys we'd like to play regularly, including our best DLineman.

on the OL side, I think it's a matter of health and experience. and Charles just being a lot better at tackle than he was at guard (and better than KJ overall).

You think you know the reason for everything that happens in sports?

That's adorable.

I missed the part where Alabama has started 2 freshman all year with a third getting starters reps in several games.

So that can only mean it's coaching then.

Guess Grimes isn't a bum anymore right? Can keep his job?

How does the oline and dline look competitive, if not better than, Alabama. But get pushed around by Troy?

F.R.A.T.

Focus. It wasn't there for Troy.

Routine. Coach O admitted to letting the players take it easy and developed a bad routine.

Accountability. Players and coaches had to start holding themselves and each other accountable. This started to happen.

Training. Players had to get in better shape, not just physically, but mentally as well.

Lol. Freshman grew up in a month? Learned how to play football in a month? Maybe they corrected some things that already should have been corrected after spring ball

Yes, a month in the SEC can work tremendously with a Freshman, learned to play football? No... learned what it takes to play SEC football compared the high school they played last year? Yes. This was a desperate attempt to say it was bad coaching but i think its tbe opposite, we have a staff that in a month got some freshman to hold their own against bama. So again yes they learned how to play SEC football in a month and thats pretty remarkable.

I honestly didn't see a talent gap last night in trenches.

They have more depth.
