I have a pair of Grizzly straps and pair of Nike Romaleos II shoes. I've never tried lifting with wraps.

it's depressing to think about the crap I've bought and the money I've spent to be dreadfully mediocre at triathlon.

Finished my first half ironman and due to some personal issues and a race cancellation, I ended up entering a different race I was not ready for timing wise, so happy to just finish. And I was happy. Until I saw my time and realized how much crap I bought for this hobby to be so damned slow at it . Motivation to get better I guess.

I'm the complete opposite. In the gym, tennis shoes, old shorts, old tshirts. No squar belt. Nothing.

On the heavy bag, my shins have deadened so I don't need shin pads anymore. Just boxing gloves and tennis shoes.

I'm a minimalist.

I am. I only replace when something needs replacing. I'm not one of the ones that just buys because of a new color.

wrist wraps
belt
sleeves
flat shoes
heeled shoes
straps
bands
hip circle

I got it all

I’m a training shoe whore

Got 5 pairs
Knee sleeves
Wrist wraps
Gymnast wraps

No belt. That’s cheating. Strengthen your core if you want to life heavy.

In my gym bag everyday:

Belt
Chalk
30-40 pound resistance bands
Ab wheel

I’m not good enough/going heavy enough yet on deadlift or squat to justify anything more than a belt. When it gets above 400 one day (not soon ) I’ll start thinking about more gear.

I? love the bros at the gym that have knees wrapped up, hoodie with the hood up, beats over the hood, lifters on, wrist straps, belt over the hoodie, chalk everywhere just to squat 315 once or twice. Those guys love the gym swag. I? need to to get on that level

I got an Inzer belt and knee wraps that I will use when I go heavy. I squat and dead in my sons wrestling shoes he wore last year that I will sometimes wear on the mat in BJJ if I get a blister from rolling bare foot. I also box a couple of times a week and have gloves, hand wraps, head gear, and a mouth piece.

Had some sciatica issues a couple/few years ago and just made everything really tight. I use the hip circle now before every training session. Sling shot is great too. I don't use it as often as I should but it's a great tool. Get a hip circle though. Not too expensive and it's something you can use everyday.

You must have had a piriformis issue. I had the same thing about a year ago.

Yep. Lacrosse ball to the piriformis. Also you need to be doing pigeon pose or a variation of it. My favorite is to get a band and loop it around the back and then over your knees. Get butt against the wall and do a figure 4 with legs. Also do this in the same position but get on the wall and mimic a squat. You could also keep the bands on and do cat/camel.

I noticed you didn't have gloves, squat pad, and ankle straps to do your leg kicks on your list.
