Without the hurricanes the GDP would have been in the four range.
It would have been fun watching them twist that one around.

Thanks Obama for the great growth.
Thanks GOPe (GW Bush) for using your hurricane machine to hold the numbers down!

Labor force participation rate goes down to 62.7%
The unemployment rate and the labor participation rate seem to move inversely at inflection points. Anyway that’s the trend I’ve noticed through the years. They coincide once trends are established. For example you might see an uptick in unemployment rate next month and an uptick in participation.

To be fair, myself and the vast majority of people on this board bashed the shite out of Obama whenever this scenario happened. "unemployment rate drop only happened because people are dropping out of the workforce!"

It is the only reason why I posted it.
This board went nuts with the labor force participation rate during the Obama years. Now it is just quiet.

The news is not about the rate drop but that CNN Breaking News email was all positive on it. Guess they can bump up their positive Trump coverage to 3.27% now.

There have been plenty of times in our recent history, when the LFPR was below 62.7%.

It's fun watching how some of y'all think Trump has anything to do with this.

So, if a R is in office we like the unemployment rate.
If a D is in office we use the labor participation rate to shame him.
Got it!

Has Trump's administration raised or lowered regulations on businesses?

It’s funnier watching idiots proclaim that Trump’s gains are due to the good work Obama did setting up the economy.

Eight years.

10 months.
See the difference. If you're being honest here, I don't remember the "participation rate" mantra being used against him in Obama's first year. Do you?

I am genuinely interested in which slashed regulation(s) caused unemployment to be higher... Any help in providing that?
