Who hires a better coach, UF or UT?

Considering both will have losses to Ed Orgeron this season, do you think they'll look to scoop him up?

Florida unless they pull an Alleva

Serious question?
Florida clearly wants a new HC. They'll handpick who they want, and UT gets the scraps.

Alleva was able to scrape the bottom of the barrel and still find a coach that could give Florida what they deserved. It should've been worse.

Hm...you know I will go for the upset pick and say UT makes a better hire.

UF should be able to attract the better coach, but I doubt most decent coaches really want SOS breathing down the back of their necks. Now that McElwain got the PTB at UF to finally start doing some facility work, Spurrier looming in the background is really the only negative that UF has over UT.

UF - Frost or Mullen
UT - Strong or Durkin

Well, considering Tennessee is keeping Butch, Florida could hire a flailing fish and do better.

I just have a feeling "mama calling" will be too much for Frost to turn down. Logic says he should take UF over Neb, but I think he probably goes with his heart. Plus Neb fans might be to the point where becoming a "Wisconsin" type program might be acceptable to them, and if so, then that is plausible for Neb.

Florida can recruit local leftovers and do better than tennessee in consistent recruiting.
Tennessee has to recruit atl and south ohio (both easy drives to knoxville)

Florida. Better job and they seem to have better admins in place.

I'll go with underdog and say Tennessee.
Mullen, Stoops, and Kelley will all say no. Frost will head to Nebraska to save it and the Gators will have to go to emergency backup and hire someone questionable
Tennessee will get someone higher on their list, whether it be Les or (dare I say it) the Grudenator*
*Gruden is unlikely

Lol what the hell are you talking about, I can't remember a time VOLS have ever targeted Ohio any more than Pennsylvania or any other nothing state up north.
All VOLS need to do is lock down Tennessee and pick off the occasional guy from the Carolinas, Georgia, Alabama, Florida, or Mississippi.
Locking down Tennessee > Florida leftovers. It's 2017, Tennessee is churning out a significant amount of blue chip talent now and will continue to do so

Florida unless Tennessee actually gets Gruden.

You would have to think UT is eventually going to get one right.
Looking at UF remaining schedule, I think Shannon gets it done and becomes the next UF coach.
I am leaning towards UT. For now.
ETA: I meant Randy Shannon. Don't know why I was thinking Strong.

Florida should and will. Tennessee will end up in panic mode and promote Hoke.
