How old are you? You sound like a grumpy arse 90 year old man.
You seem like an emotionally unstable person. The thread asked for an opinion. I gave mine. It wasn't rooted in racism but in a very basic concept called "the tragedy of the commons."

Our neighborhood welcomes children of all races, religion and social classes. Sounds like you live in a shitty neighborhood.
I'm interested to know exactly how you "welcome" children. Seems like another one of your emotional projections that, probably, isn't factual.

Because we put out a bowl so we could go out and trick-or-treat with the kids ourselves. Before we even leave the house some 10-15 year old Land rover SUV with 30+ inch rims pulls all the way up into our driveway. 4 children jump out along with the fat female driver and her fat female co-pilot. Children get candy then the two "adults" proceed to empty the bowl into their walmart bags. And there was another shite SUV pulls up right behind them.
We shut down Halloween for good and haven't done it since. Nothing but people from OTHER neighborhoods driving around.
Wouldn't suck so bad if they would park and walk the area, but they just want to take all the free candy.
Now WE bus ourselves to other areas (where we have friends) to enjoy a traditional experience.

Wow...hyperbole much? I truly hope your neighborhood can rebuild and recover after the little monsters come through. Good luck gramps.

frick you. I don’t want dipshit parents driving around my kids at night. Get the frick out and go to your own neighborhood.

I'm sure I'm not the only baw in here that lives/lived in the Heights in Houston. We got thousands of trick or treaters in our neighborhood when I lived there. Nearly all came from another area. I didn't mind and I understood why, but that shite got expensive. Lots of cool costumes, though.

I give all of the kids candy. I am like a little fricking bright ray of sunshine in their lives. I know that soon enough they will grow up and fall into their place in society.

, it's the shithead 12 year olds that actually live in the neighborhood causing issues.
This cannot get enough up votes. Bunch of entitled privileged 12 year olds that think they are so cool fricking up everyone's shite. Too stupid to realize everyone has fricking cameras and their faces are about to be blasted on the neighborhood FB page.

Ironic coming from someone who claimed I was racist- you seem unstable and incapable of stringing together any sort of logical argument.
PS good luck "welcoming children of all backgrounds" or whatever delusional things you claim to do (but we all know you really don't).

Not one if your best as it's really not bad living.

Maybe the parents live in a rough neighborhood. Maybe they would love to be able to take their child trick or treating in their own neighborhood...but they have legit reasons to believe that is not a wise idea. I can't fault a parent from wanting to give their child a decent Halloween.
I get the anger at people that abuse the system, at teenagers not in costume demanding candy, etc. But what about those parents who are doing the best they can and working hard and are still stuck in poverty? Instead of getting so angry and spewing such hatred...couldn't you instead just be thankful you live in a safe neighborhood with your family?
If you were poor and had a child, but lived in an unsafe neighborhood, what would you do for them on Halloween?
Appeal to emotion is never a good look. Why should my parents have to buy an additional 20 dollars of candy for trick or treaters who have to be driven in only because it's an upper middle class neighborhood?

It's rather obvious.

This is the part that makes it glaringly obvious. This "is" exactly how you think so you believe (or hope) everyone else does, too.
By the way, we'd also welcome your little hooded ones in our neighborhood.
Enjoy life gramps. I'm done with your racism.

It's rather obvious.
Please enlighten me how exactly... I think it's interesting how you can claim to know this based on my opinion that I don't like people getting bussed in to my neighborhood to trick or treat.
quote:
By the way, we'd also welcome your little hooded ones in our neighborhood.
Again, for the 3rd time, you fail to explain how you actually intend to "welcome" anyone to your neighborhood. It's delusion- you don't do anything.

Pot meet kettle. But it seems like you have a persecution complex. Expressing a very normal opinion doesn't make someone racist, no matter how bad you want it to.

Really can not wait for the complaint threads on Halloween.

I think a good majority hate thugs and criminals. It isn't their fault a certain demographic has a way higher rate of criminals than others.
