I'm not saying that fraternities are totally innocent (particularly in light of the fact that a pledge just drank himself to death), but the overall goal on college campuses for the last 20 years or so has been to end the Greek system. And that effort has been lead by the jealous nerd students and those who nerd there way into administrative positions.

The Shreveport cop who arrested me was an LSU Lamda Chi. Goes to show you how extensive their alumni network is. [handwank]

No immediate impact on the intramural flag football scene either. Lambda Chi was an automatic win for just about everyone.

I genuinely don't care whether the Greek system continues or not, but both the people trying to shut them down and the Greeks think a bit too highly of themselves.
