I do feel AD gets ignored in the "Who do you start a franchise with" argument nowadays.

Can you just give us the rundown? I’d rather not watch that.

Love the Pellies. Had season tickets before I moved out of state. But I’d take Giannis.

I do think AD is the better player, but I’d have to take Giannis. In today’s NBA a wing is much more valuable. As great as AD is, he isn’t going to be able to control the ball like Greek.

The freak also has an edge to him that AD will never have IMO. Just this intensity about him that AD has never really shown.

I agree that AD is the better player, but I would take Giannis first.
He will just effect the game more as a wing.

Also, durability. AD can sustain 75ish games a year, like last season, that would be huge.
I do think Davis has that edge you’re speaking of, though. We’ve seen it before. He’s a gamer, and has made many clutch baskets.

I wouldn't trade Giannis for Davis straight up. No knock on Davis either.
Davis is a transcendent player. That he is this good without playing with a great facilitator is absurd. A damn shame the Pels haven't found that guy 6 years in.
Giannis is doing shite we haven't seen before 4 games in.
37 ppg on 66% shooting (near 80fg% at rim where he takes 64% of his shots). He's also pulling down 11rpg w/ 5apg, 2 spg, and 1 bpg. Hes going to cool down, but that is nuts and downright terrifying. When you're breaking Jabbar records, you're doing work. He's still 22.

Davis did better last year first month against better competition too.

All I know is the answer is not Dell Demps.
I hate that we went for the win now method. It’s set us so far back. However, it’s not like we have drafted anyone other than AD who was worth a damn.

I agree with you that I'd rather Giannis (mostly because I don't trust Davis to stay healthy), but it will be interesting to see if teams can limit his looks at the rim. Your stats spell out a player without a reliable jumper, and that's without mentioning his 3 pt %.

well luckily the Bucks have surrounded Giannis with guys that can knock down 3 pointers to help create space for him to get to the rim.
Middleton 40%
Brodgon 41%
Snell 37% and climbing
Teletovic 37%
Parker shot 37% last year
Thon Maker shot 38% last year
Delly 39%
Terry 38%, even though he doesn't really play anymore just illustrates the point of what they are doing for their star.
The Pels on the other hand plan on surrounding their two stars with Rondo and Hill, both guys who not a single defender in the NBA will give a shite when they attempt a 3, and Jrue, who's a career 36% 3 point shooter.

Love ad and he's a transcendent big man, but Greek freak.
Ball handler always get the benefit in this era. Look how good cousins and AD are and look at the guards they have played with.
Look at some of the elite ball handlers in the league, they have average big men and they win. It's because they do more than score

yeah. that will be the question.
teams will adjust, certainly. and those numbers will come down some. but he did this last year (53% of shots at the rim). this isn't new
he's got enough handle. and he's so tall/long that he can shoot over or around just about anyone. watching that Blazers game, Turner was going way under screens, which just gave him runway to attack and score.
like Teddy points out, they have some shooters and Maker at the 5 can stretch out. they can even play Giannis at the 5 if they want (that block on Nurkic to beat the Blazers was insane).
